I have been in this hobby awhile and have had this start to happen more. Late providers and no shows. First I am client that normally wants outcall to my home. I live alone and when I am at home at night being a little late does not matter to me. The woman I see that I know run a few hours late is fine since I have usually since them a lot. I know they are showing I expect they run late and once they arrive they I am very satisfied. When one showed up on agreed time I once had to get in shower with hersince I had not shower yet. Not the worst thing to happen.
My etiquette question is when I have set something up with someone new and they told me after getting my address they would give me ETA and 3 hours late no more communication. How long should the client give a new provider who has not communicate hen they will show up or have given a time and are late without communication do you move on. Do providers understand if you get text or voicemail saying if I have not heard from you by a given time. I expect they are not showing up and I am finding someone else. I did have one show up six hours late no communication from them and I had texted a few times to say not to show up. She arrived just as I had finished with another provider and yes we had to talk about what happen the next time I did see the provider who always makes me happy. I would say I should not look for bargains however some of the ones that ghost are review and on the higher end of rates. They might be the ones that hours late reach me asking about still seeing me and most upset when told not tonight or I found someone else. End rant
Being late is a huge issue for me. Itβs unprofessional. After about 30 to 45 mins past agreed upon time I call it off. Shit happens so I give a little buffer but after that Iβm out.
And if they are delayed then they should keep you informed. For someone to be hours late and then be unhappy you made other arrangements is beyond unprofessional. I'm reasonably tolerant of people making mistakes but only to a point. When it's habitual or obviously deliberate that's where I draw the line.
I wonder how she woud feel, if you were to do this to her? I am sure she would have cancelled the appt. The ONLY reason a provider should be late, is if she runs into unexpected traffic or something family related comes up. she then should have clear communication as to why she is late, and what time she plans to be there. So she can make sure that still works for you. 30/40 min Max.... Hours is just no respect for you or your time.... I would Pass on her/him for good.
Personally, 10 minutes late without communication is just unprofessional and rude. 15 minutes late without communicating is considered a no show for me. Does this happen often?! Iβm amazed that anyone does this and has any success.
But if you're going to have expectations on etiquette please provide the same ?? I expect a fee for a no shoe, or complete last min cancelation .. if I don't show, I will offer those discounts ? So effing odd
I usually do outcall so at least if there late I'm waiting on my couch. Most of the time when there late I feel there just getting 1 more in before they see you. Incall when there late you wait in your car just bringing attention to your self. Anyway on incall my wait limit is 15 to 20 minutes dont care what the bullshit excuse is. Outcall ill give them up to an hour if there keeping in touch. Otherwise I'll text or call them letting them know I no longer need them then I'll call someone else.
I am well known amongst my friends and family that I run late. I always have. They try to trick me by giving me different start times for gatherings. It usually works. For appointments however, I don't have that luxury. For incall I have to bust my ass and stress myself to the max to be ready on time which I usually am within 10 minutes and for Outcall I've never been more than 30 minutes late. My point is, if I can get to these appointments on time relatively speaking, everyone should be able to easy peasy.
