You allow an alias to post about an arrest in Bloomington with no specifics. I post a response under my one and only handle with confirmation that an arrest took place and you take that down.

Post known arrests and locations on CL under Adult Services like the old days.

This site has a forum for busts.

So if you could explain it just once I would appreciate it.

The OP in the thread was getting a lot of grief for either being LE or a liar. All I did was confirm that an arrest had taken place.  I did not name the arrested, I did not name the location, I named the source of my information.

Seems to me to be useful information, apparently not.

First, I thought you were referring to another post by another posted that I took down for other reasons. Here is why YOUR post was pulled.

I am assuming Billyclub is not VIP, because I had a post pulled last summer that was also explained via PM from the mod.  My VIP (and i am sure many others) lapses from time to time, and at that time i was not VIP.  And since non-VIP's *can't get* PM's, I never knew what the reason was.  A month or so later I reinstated VIP and saw the reason for my post being removed.

So...has anyone up the TER food chain given thought to allowing non-vip's to receive and respond to PM's **just from the Mods?**  It would help to eliminate threads like this one, if nothing else
