I really dont think that "anything else that happens" disclaimer makes you untouchable, in fact it suggests that something "may" happen if I hired you for a date.

If something were to happen on your own time then great! If something were to happen during a paid date, well good luck arguing that one to a jury. But hay, Ive been told I look like Brad Pitt, so maybe.

It was a good idea (MFP and others) apparently when it did what it was supposed to do. No one forseen what has come about. Here I am posting on TER. Is that going to bite me in the ass down the line? I guess its like buying a new car only to find out later that the steering wheel burst into flames under certain conditions. How was I to know?

Its been so long since I started my profile on TER that I don't remember how much info I put in about myself. I'm sure its not as detailed as MFP (I was never a member) but now i wonder.

The bottom line is, and I sure can't make an assumption regarding the database of MFP, if I contact a girl, we agree to spend time together, and I just happen to lay down a few items such as my watch, coat, an envelope, a lighter, and my cell phone when we meet and I pick everything back up when i leave and walk out the door someone is going to have to PROVE that something illegal happened during the time I was there. Oh, I left my lighter? Does that prove that anything illegal occurred during my visit with her? Maybe I left my cell phone. Does that prove anyting in the court of law? It proves that I may be a senile forgetfull dumbasss but nothing else.
The only thing that anyone has on anyone else is what is provided to them. STFU and they have NOTHING.
Absolutely NOTHING!
So a database says you signed up to be a member. What does that prove? I could be living in Antartica and be a member of MFP. Prove to a jury that i did something unlawful.
Its not on the people to prove their innocent; its the burden of the prosecutor that those people did a crime. Whats he going to do...say to a jury "this person was a member of a certain website, therefore you have to find him guilty"? Is that going to hold water?

Look at it this way: if they said that kissing someone's cheek was illegal, and both you and the other person whom you were supposed to have kissed on the cheek deny it during trial, and there was no video, tape, pictures, or anything else to prove otherwise, how far do you think it would get?  
You don't have to prove your innocence. They have to prove your guilt. And just because you are a member of a certain website doesn't mean that anything actually happened. The burden of proof is on them to say it actually happened. Its not on you to prove that it didn't.

And something to remember is: if they thought they had a case against anyone, we would be hearing about people being taken in by now. They wouldn't hesitate on making that move ASAP. Why isn't it happening? Because they know that all they have is flimsy crap. No one is going to get taken in unless they know that the prosecution actually has a case.
Just because someone is a member of a certain website doesn't prove a damn thing. The prosecution knows that just because they present to a jury the fact that a person was a member of a certain website it doesn't mean they did anything illegal.
Bottom line: if you aren't arrested yet: they don't have a case against you.

If they do want to talk to you its for one reason only: to get evidence against you.

if you don't talk, that leaves them with the problem of not getting enough evidence to convict you. Its your right not to say anything no matter how much they want you to talk. Whenever they want you to talk to them it just means one thing: they want to gather evidence against you.
They may say its in your own best interest and whatever else. They will say whatever they have to to make you open up. But the bottom line is, unless you've ever been caught on camera doing something you shouldn't be doing, there is no way they can prove your guilt as long as both parties deny it. She denies it, you deny it...what else does the jury have to go by? The prosecuters accusations?

They know this shit. they expect you to get scared. They want you to get scared. They want you to feel that you will lose a lot if you don't cooperate, and that you won't lose anyting if you do.
Its a lie. if You do cooperate you will find yourself on a stand and your family wondering why your there. If you don't cooperate, they will tell you that it will come down all that harder. But thats a scare tactic.
If you don't cooperate, you are worthless to them. They can't use you for anything. Its over. You can simply walk away. They don't want you to know that but its true. Remember the scene in the movie "River's Edge" when the kid was being questioned. What did he ask?

"Am I under arrest?"

"no"

"Ok, See ya!"

You have every right to simply get up and walk out and go home if you aren't under arrest! (This just doesn't apply to the subject here)

and if you are, don't answer questions unless you have a lawyer there and he knows the story. Any convictions that ever happen with this shit is going to be based on testimony and nothing else. What else do they have? The database? Like i said, a guy from Antartica could be a member; that doesn't mean anyone trekked down there and had a session with him. Anyone could make themslves a member and say what they want. The prosecuter will have a helluva time trying to convince the jury that an illegal act happened with a MFP member and a provider no matter what a webpage says. A certain webpage says that an elite race of lizard people disguised as humans have occupied the White House for decades, now.  

Yeah, lets see how far he gets on a database alone.
