I am looking for a provider close to me so I did a search on BP for 'coon rapids' and came
up with several providers. no mention of TER in their ads, so I was just wondering if anybody
has any info on any of them. Would it be helpful if I posted links to their ads?
Am new around here so, I am just asking. Sorry for any newbie mistakes. i am a basic member

I am always leary of posts that ask for information about providers in specific locations or cities.  I can understand your looking in the north metro, but to limit it to one city is just suspicious.  Unless you have no transportation, you are only minutes from Anoka, Fridley, Blaine, Spring Lake Park.  And, just a few short miles from Brooklyn park/center, New Brighton, Maple Grove, NE Minneapolis and most of the metro north.  

So, why the specifics on Coon Rapids?  Being that specific is not something that should be openly discussed on this board.  

I wonder if the Original Poster will come back and answer.

I am the original poster. Sorry, my reference to coon rapids was after checking several cities close to me and finding some there. My car cannot travel very far. I meant no harm...any  411 on providers near me would be helpful

Now that is the first time I have ever heard someone claim that their car cannot go far enough to see the provider of their choice.  I would say that you have some serious obstacles hobbying.  Your car troubles not withstanding, its still not a good idea to name specific areas or cities.  You might have to do your own homework on this one.

You are right that we don't know your situation.  In fact, we know next to nothing about you at all.  Unfortunately, not every new handle that shows upon the board is from a legitimate newbie who doesn't know the lay of the land.  Some are from would-be trouble makers.  None of us have a crystal ball that allows us to see what the truth is so when something odd crops up that causes some of us to wonder if that is the whole story.  That doesn't excuse some of the truly rude responses you got and I am genuinely sorry if I am wrong here in what I said but you might want to think about how matters can look from our side.

I think I'd be more concerned at this point with solving my car problems if that were me.

A Narc?  Do you even know what that is?  This guy is green, but we all were at one pont.  If he were LE, he would do his homework much better and much more UTR.  If you are suspicious and don't wish to help, fine.  But please don't brand the guy.

thank you. green yes...LE no. these responses seem to be from very angry people. i asked a simple question, no knowing that it would be inappropriate. telling me to fix my car is way over the damn top if you ask me. i am getting a new car soon, but nobody out there knows my finances, etc. guess this is the wrong place for a newbie to ask questions. instead of getting polite responses (although at least one of you did and i have followed up on it) i was immediately slammed and accused of being all kinds of things that i am not. thanks soflaguy44 for somewhat stepping in and buffering me from the bashing. we all live in glass houses you know...so i'd keep the stone throwing to a minimum.

you weren't and you did. about the only (except for soflaguy44) decent response i got. thank you very much.

now i am a swine. you are one rude dude. i hope you NEVER make an innocent mistake. because if you do, i am sure that people will pounce on you like jelly on toast. grab a mirror and take a look. hopefully you won't like what you see. i am a live and let live type of guy with no prejudgments of others. wish more were like that.

and....as a newcomer here i am distressed at the number of very rude and non-thinking people on here. many nice ones, but the rudies make it very uncomfortable for new people.

Let it roll off.  Most everyone posts a message every now and then which isn't received well.  You know what you were trying to do.  As a newbie, live and learn.  Every quarter or so I get chastised for something I write and the folks have been correct to do so about 75% of the time.  I look at what I originally innocently wrote and say, "Yikes!"

On the other hand, if you're a cop, you have been rebuffed.

Do some more research and you should be able to find a couple ladies close to your area.

I try to not give out any specifics on ladies to unknowns on here.

Dude, WTF about the car? You opened that can of worms and now you need to eat it! From those of us outside looking in, we are wondering how and why you are trolling for ladies and don't have reliable transportation? Actually I can relate, I can remember the same situation myself, when I was 15! LOL (sorry, coudn't resist... hope you can take it in good humor)

Seriously, can you provide a location and get outcall to you? Then you can spend all your money on providers and you won't need a car! (ok, not so seriously)
