I was in Mankato earlier this week and noticed that US 169 from Mankato to Twin Cities area had detours but wasn't sure where. MN22 from Mankato to St. Peter was also detoured.
I'm guessing that if you just go the way you were planning and follow the detours you'll get back on your original route just fine.
Another option would be to take US 14 from Mankato to I-35 at Owatonna. Stop and see some Owatonna dudes, then continue north on I-35 into Bloomington and beyond!

I was needing some info. on the road conditions???????  The DOT doesn't update their website as often as they should... All I am getting is that some roads in southern Minnesota will remain closed for the next few days...

Mankato to Minneapolis??? Will I be able to get there???? Or do I need to detour and take some secret Minnesota route???

hwy 169  was closed at hwy 93 just south of Lesuer on Friday  detor puts  u on Hwy 8 to hwy 22 into St Peter

My first thought was that this would be a post about a wet pussy. Maybe that is a rational thought considering the venue, or maybe I just need help.

I know that 169 is still closed from St Peter to LeSueur.  There are detours posted.  There are road closures around Henderson also but I am not sure if they effect 169.

MN 22 is open again.

They have also opened up 169 between Mankato and St Peter.
These were both closed earlier in the week.    

I've traveled on 169 this weekend so am in the know!!

169 sshould be open all the way in a day or so, although I've heard there is some road damage to the northbound lane. River dropped 1.5 feet in Mankato Saturday night, about the same in Henderson and Belle Plaine. Maybe 41 will open before the weekend?
