Here we go again!! While the effort to curb trafficking and put adults who traffic minors in jail is good and I fully support that, the scope of this effort includes actually shutting down BP.  There always seems to be a conflation between what we do as adults and trafficking minors when it comes to making and enforcing laws.

Backpage has repeatedly said it cooperates with LE investigations into trafficking involving ads on its sites.  I doubt the courts will go along with any law that shuts down the site.  Frankly, if I were running BP I'd move my operation out of the US, which is what I suspect will happen if they were able to get laws such as this one passed and upheld.

Agreed.  You'd think they would have learned the craigslist lesson--but that would have to assume its not all politically motivated.    

They could always come around to the reality that legalization will solve a lot of the problems, but not holding my breath on that either.
