I have tried to find that discussion concrning getting a hotel room without CC or ID. I must be doing something wrong. I would appreciate some help. Thanks!

you can get a prepaid cc at a checks cashed location. it's a debit that is accepted at hotels. you load the money on at a western union or a money gram before you make the charge. this IS NOT the same as a visa gift card as some had stated on the previous posts.
there is no hotel that will accept any cc without ID.

I used to work at a local hotel..  We had regulars who used to visit, They even set up special rates for repeat guest. You will have to show a ID.. Dont give them a fake name or wrong ID other wise thats another law broken in some cities.  If they ask for a phone deposit tell them to keep the phone off, other wise you could have a nice little bill if you leave before the guest.  Just act normal when you check in not to draw attention.  Just dont stay in the same area you live on a regular basis..  If its a one time thing make up a line painting the bed room.  You will need a CC to reserve a room but you can pay cash, in todays economy many people are staying away from cc, and the hotel will take any biz then can get...
