Comfort Inn in Bloomington.  Don't know why they were there (not like I was going to ask) but I played it safe and left.

Uniforms or plainclothes?

The uniforms can always be found trolling around the hotels along 494 between Cedar and France. Comfort Inn, Microtel, La Quinta, and Super 8, in particular.

It's gotten to the point where I hardly pay them any mind. I'd be more concerned if I saw an unmarked posted in the lot. Bloomington vice doesn't use marked cars, this much I know.

Yes, an unmarked car would have been more worrisome.  But I'm still not going to stroll on in hoping the uniformed cop won't notice anything suspicious.

Last time I had to meet in Bloomington I was nervous as hell, even though I trust the girl I saw.  I'm sticking to downtown or closer from now on!!!

I know how you feel about Bloomington. But, I wonder if it is the lower-priced hotels that are more problematic?????

If I were on a TOFTT mission and I saw any hint of LE, I would have bounced too, without second guessing myself even once.

Someone I had history with, different story - if I trust her enough to be smart about her business.

Anything under a hundred bucks a night, like the ones I mentioned above, are LE central. Of course you could apply that to cheap hotels everywhere. Red Roof in Plymouth - always a cop around. All those hotels off of Shingle Creek and I94 in Brooklyn Park, same story. Super 8 in Golden Valley, always cops around.

It's just a matter of these cheap hotels being notorious for drawing a certain criminal element to them which gives 5-0 a reason to hang around.

Bloomington has gained it's reputation simply because it has a certain area (494 between Cedar and France) with a high concentration of these budget hotels.

Now thats funny........................ I guess  making $500/hr, being self employed, traveling whenever you want, going to bed when you want, waking up when you want, has it's challenges - vs - making $7 - $20/hr, working for someone else, going to bed by a certain time, waking up at a certain time 5 - 6 days a week. Being "Really scared" because of uniformed officers noticed (vs undercover enforcement) in a City that has been discussed numerous times on here as being well known for stings.  I could understand perhaps "being cautious" but  being "Really Scared"........."chuckle chuckle"

Oh I wouldn't doubt it!!  To me, it seems a lady will pick a hotel like that when there's no other option left, or even she has to save a few $$$.  And believe me I understand that, because Priceline isn't always that helpful.  But for whatever reason B-town is just easy pickins for LE.
