What I found interesting is that it was recommended to them by an attorney.
If people believe that line, then all the fale/stolen pictures and ads with lies must be mistakes! That's too funny. Guess that attorney just made some quick cash with that work.

I thought this might be of interest to the MN board as one of our locals posted it.  He also briefly mentions it in his post about Ella the Elf.
I know that I would never sign my name to a document that leaves a rather explicit paper trail.

I was wondering if oleoneeye actually signed his real name.

Any thoughts?

They basically wasted money . A disclaimer isn't going to save you I mean say God forbid you get caught redhanded, evidence is evidence the best you can do is STFU.
It amazes me how many people waste money on that type of document when you can simply pay attention and screen better or avoid the situation entirely by not partaking (yeah right :p
What I want to know is:
Why so willing to give out almost all of your personal info to an agency including a signature that could most likely be investigated by the feds then in turn complain about an independent asking for 2 references and a tidbit of personal info that she'll most likely get rid of later on?

Not only would I never sign me real name, I would never allow it to be known through pre-sceening, ID check, or otherwise.  It turned out to be a trivial annoyance at most.  The piece of paper with no legible information other than her trade name left with me and ended up shredded and in some landfill by now.

You wonder why they even bother with it.  There may be some in-experienced hobbyists out there that might not be a savvy as you oleoneeye.
Hopefully anyone who reads this will know better if they are put in that situation.

appreciate your post on the legal board, and here.

you are not oleoneeye for nothing.
Might not be the same for a less experienced guy.

signing it would not protect you.  In Fact, I would think it could be used against you.  Sign nothing. Say nothing.

I am in no way defending the practice, but from a hobbyist's perspective I think its totally harmless assuming that you know it doesn't protect you any more than otherwise.  Had I been required to show an ID to authenticate my signature, I would have declined.

What I found interesting is that it was recommended to them by an attorney.

At first I thought it could be an attempt to make new clients feel more comfortable but I don't understand why an attorney would draw this up.  But so long as you don't sign your real name, I see no harm in it for the guy.

From what I have always been told by my legal friends is that put NOTHING specific in writing (in person, over text, email, ect) and never negotiate anything in person.  If for any reason you realize it's "Uncle Leo" that is in your presence or that he's involved, you STFU.  If I see someone who is newer to the hobby (which is RARE) I be sure to tell them that if it's ever a situation he finds himself in, to do the same and we will all walk away happy campers if we do that and retain legal representation.

Being someone who pays VERY close attention to all reports on 'escortdrama' and local ladies and gents who have gotten visits from Uncle Leo, the common theme to those who STFU is that they are in a much better position to fight the charge than those who have loose lips...pun intended.

Safe playing, Everying!

Not all attorneys are good. Consider, for example, that somebody out there is the worst dentist or doctor.

Not a chance.

I'd be all over this just for the shits and giggles.  On a boring day, just harassing each that left would probably net a "best of 2012" video taped interview.  My guess, there's no lawyer behind this document.
