Whatever's going on, it ain't worth the drama.  Assume this is a non-response.

But sometimes the best response is no response at all.

Belinda speaks with more authority, but since I already wrote this ...

I can think of four ways to read that reply.

1) She was drunk and being 'funny.'

2) Despite being reviewed, she doesn't understand the practice of seeking references and thought you were LE coming after her.

3) She was taking a shot at you for some reason, real or imagined.

4) She was giving you a rather indirect warning about the guy who sent you to her for a reference.  

If it's 1, 2 or 3, you don't need the drama. But the possibility of 4 means you should make sure he has other references and they all come back sparkly clean. Then if you do see him, and all goes well, have a little talk about not using the names of ladies without first asking them if they are reference friendly.  

And if he seems like he cares at all, maybe suggest he reach out and explain to her about references and such, thereby making her and the hobby a little bit safer. A lecture from a stranger she already dismissed won't help, but a word from a known client might.

If she can't tell you about him herself she doesn't make a very good reference and a pimp wouldn't have your best interest in mind.

I didn't reply, and I took that text as she HAS a pimp, and was wanting me to come work with them. Perhaps saying I can get the reference if I get with the pimp. But I wasn't interested obviously. I was posting this to see if anyone was interested as to who she was. I did not accept that reference nor see the gent unfortunately as this was his only reference.
