Please say some for my hobby guy friend...he is one of a kind, and I will not name names even if PM'd to protect his privacy.
I have however put a lot of thought into the past couple days after finding out that he has cancer.
And I'm sharing with the board my beliefs, yes they may be rare some of you may think I'm silly,or un-enlightened, to believe in such things as prayers or sending out good vibrations and positive healing thoughts. It's ok if you think that, but in my own life I've had too much proof that such positive energy exists.
I can not stand by and have only myself & family pray when I know there is a world of good people here on TER. Many gals probably know exactly who I'm talking about, yet that part doesn't matter...please put out your prayers & good energy for a one of a kind gentleman with cancer. I don't want to be to specific but it's enough to know the prayers are needed.

Not a big believer in the traditional sense but I'll certainly lend my positive vibes and healing thoughts to your friend. It's a nasty disease that unfortunately effects far to many. You have a good soul Mindy.

He is one of the first wonderful gentlemen I met in this hobby. He is an amazing man and I will never get tired of his stories. His outlook on life is so uplifting. He is a dear friend to many and would give anyone the shirt of his back. Over the years we have had a lot of fun, we have laughed, and we have cried. This hobby allows us to be ourselves and talk about anything that might come to mind, things we can't or won't share with our regular friends and family. It is a very unique and personal relationship, with no strings attached. I think of him often and appreciate the text messages that let me know how he is doing. He is a fighter and is going to do everything he can to get the cancer in remission. If anyone can do it, he can. I wish him all the best. He and his family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Jillian that's exactly how I feel except of course I have not had the gift of so much time with him,
But I hope to -sometime whenever he's ready... I completely agree if anyone can beat it it's him! ..what a strong, young beyond his years, and -always in his heart -gentleman he is, his kind considerate nature, has him loved by so many!!

and included with the ones I say for my dear friends every day. There is so much suffering in the world. I know more people who have been affected by cancer in the last couple of years than I've experienced in my lifetime. I think we all know someone who has it or has been affected by it in some way. I care and send out positive, healing energy to those who are struggling with illness or any other adversity today. There are some truly wonderful, loving, caring people in this little community and there is power in prayer, meditation or positive thoughts sent in one's direction. Like Mother Theresa said, not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.

carry this request with me to Mass this weekend and light a candle in his honor. My renewal as I take the body and drink the blood shall be taken with this unknown-to-me individual in my heart. We will be renewed and forgiven together.
On a medical note: keeping the pH in the body high will inhibit/stop the growth of cancer. Share this with him and let him know that if he does allow his pH to drop it will grow again. I hope this helps.
... many, many cancers - if caught in their early stages - can be overcome. Two key elements are:
Have an excellent doctor with the knowledge and experience to provide the most up to date treatment and, perhaps most importantly .... it's imperative to maintain a hopeful and positive attitude. Prayer and the belief in a higher power - can also influence your attitude and ultimately - the outcome!!
I hope your one of a kind friend's future ... has a positive swing to it.
All the more reason I say to - "Live Life on Your Terms!" ... you never know what tomorrow may bring!
Also, I loved edgeof10's comment regarding attitude. I could not agree more; a positive outlook (though difficult for many, and understandably given the circumstances) on life in general will serve us all well.
