After contemplating it for the past year, two weeks ago I made the decision to become a provider.  Without any friends in the industry, I really didn't know how to go about this.  After searching the internet for information I discovered TER and I'm astounded by how incredibly valuable it has been.  

I ended up posting on Backpage last week and then put up a nearly identical post on TER.  I cannot overstate the difference between the quality of responses I've gotten from the two sites.  The majority of my 134 inquiries came from back page, but as of right now it appears that every single actual client I'm taking on will have come from TER.  

The TER responses have consistently been more intelligent, professional, and sincere.  They were also much more spooked than the Backpage responses, which I understand completely considering how different my service is and that I have no reviews.  Actually, I prefer it that they were spooked - I would be too.  

I've only had one person that was rude to me, which unfortunately was a TER member, but I think he was just frustrated that I'm not FS.  Much better than the person from Backpage that asked if we could involve a dog.  :-/

I'm absolutely confident that from one posting on TER I will find six amazing clients and then promptly disappear UTR until one of them moves on and I have another opening.  I'm glad I don't have to go through the unpleasant experience of finding out how long it would take to get the same response from Backpage.
