Anybody done the drum circle on Venice Beach at sunset? It can be once in a lifetime and a 10.

How about sunrise from the hills of Monaco? Also can be once in a lifetime and a 10.

And so on ... pick your own analogy! Two very different experiences, both 10s.

Ladies and gents, looking for opinions on giving 10/10 reviews. I've only given one 10/10 in my decades of hobbying because  i've always understood it to be an experience that is literally once in a lifetime. Yet i see a lot of reviewers giving multiple 10/10s. How can a person give a "once in a lifetime" rating more than once in a lifetime? Am I misunderstanding how the rating system is supposed to work?

The "once in a lifetime" statement that describes a score of 10 is not meant to be taken literally.

If the lady offers a menu that meets the standards of a 10, met your expectations of a 10 and earned a 10 during the session then by all means give it to her.

Do not penalize her because you gave someone else a 10 before.

you have given your 10/10 who you consider to be better than the 10/10?  I don't think this 'rating' system is meant to be so strict.  To me it represents the reviewers opinion.  I can't imagine the idea of the system is that once you give a 10/10 you are forbidden to give another to someone else.  Otherwise you would have to wait until you had seen everyone and then give your one allowed 10/10 to whoever you considered was the best.  Hope someone tells me if I'm looking at this the wrong way, but I see this as being a fun hobby and not something to be so strict and literal about.....

maybe a "once-in-a-lifetime" experience is followed later by an even better one, so THAT one becomes the new "once-in-a-lifetime" experience.  In that way, a person could certainly have multiple 10/10's over a period of time.

Having said that, I tend to agree with the others that 10/10 should not be taken too literally.  If you think of a someone rating a person's looks as a "10," certainly there are lots of "10's" out there.  And, each is unique...so, in that sense, each one is a "once-in-a-lifetime" in the looks department.

...using that criteria every experience in life is once in a lifetime and earns a 10/10. While that is undoubtedly a valid and positive way to view life, it renders any attempt to make relative comparisons impossible and leaves the TER ranking system (or any other for that matter) of no value to anyone trying to use it as a decision-making tool.

Of course, every experience, even typiing this post is "once in a lifetime." But I'd have to give this one a "5" or something.  So, no worries, the rating system still has value, despite its imperfections.

For example the appearance score of 9 as " model material."  I've seen many a woman on the cover of various magazines (not counting those where appearance was not a factor) who were not a 9 on a 1-10 scale in my book and seen a number of escorts who would never make it as model but I do consider them a 9 on that same scale.

The bits of humor are only fun for a minute, but basically lead to confusion.

Which is worse, 2 - Should have stayed home or 4 - She just laid there?

Shouldn't a "nice time" be the minimum for average?

And who actually forgets it's a service (9)? (Well, besides the stalkers?)

Nice looking vs attractive?  Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

...they've exceeded their allotment of 10/10 reviews. One hears several different reasons why a review was rejected but never for this. So give as many perfect scores as you wish if you truly feel they deserve them. Besides, aren't we all, by our presence here, a group of rule breakers?  ;)

Drumsticks, rules?? What rules?? I like how you think.... But I don't think I break any rules... ;=P           Well, maybe just a few here.

Though I don't live in Minneapols, my ATF does, so I've made a point of coming through pretty often. I've also found this board to be the most interesting, so it's pretty much the only one I post on with any regularity. May have something do with the quality of the admin's, too. Apollo is head and shoulders above others i've encountered in his management of the Minnesota board. In any case, I was curious to see if opinions on 10/10s are the same everywhere or vary by region, so I also posted this question on the Atlanta, Phoenix and Vegas boards. Interesting answers in Atlanta and Phoenix that you might enjoy checking out. For some inexplicable reason, the admin of the Vegas board took the post down, so no responses there.
