If you don't get a reasonable response, let us all know.  One of the great things about the Board is the accountability and communication it provides for all of us.  Hats off to TER (I know, it is great business for them as well).  In any case, we need to play fair, and not jump to conclusions, but when someone screws up, this is the place to let us know.  It raises the bar for us all, and those friends doing the best job are   dully rewarded.

You had a date and a time but no phone number.  I'm assuming you didn't have a location either so it's not as though you drove some place and then got stood up.  You really can't consider an appointment confirmed without those I think.  So, how long ago was the appointment supposed to have been?

Right now, there's no way of knowing what might have happened; it could be anything from some sort emergency (and yes it would have been nice of her to let you know but perhaps she doesn't have access to a computer she feels comfortable using) to she just decided for whatever reason not to see you.

If you are still interested in seeing her, drop her a polite email asking her what happened and saying you'd still like to get together some time.  For now though, move on unless and until you hear something.

The provider and I communicated via email, her preference.  Communication was good and back and forth.  I asked for a date and time and she confirmed.  She said she would get back to me with final details.  That was earlier this week.  She said get back to me that night never did, nor the next day.  I sent an email asking if everything was all right.  No response.

A NS is when you are sheduled right up until appt time and she doesn't show up.  If you have been doing this long enough, you've had this happen.  I have been with a provider who blew off her next appointment to extend our time.  Never called the guy to tell him. It was the last time I saw her.

Yeah, its not as bad as driving to an appt and sitting in your car forever waiting for the call back.  But if an actual appt is made and then no communications on the day of, thats bad too.  Common courtesy is to cancel, even without an explanation.

Thank you.  Common courtesy seems to be lacking.  I like you have driven to an appt (actually two hours away) stood up.  My favorite story is the provider who i drove to see.  Called her when I got there, she said give me ten minutes, turned out to be 30 and when i called she said i was not scheduled.  Needless to say i was a little bit upset.  Drove two hours home and found the email for that day, emailed it to her and no response.  There should be a way to note the bad behavior of providers even those who seem like the best.

There were days of warning, not hours.   Still doesn't make it right

It's not as if he was stupid enough to fly himself and a PS to NYC for the weekend and she NCNS'd him, to the tune of many bucks wasted.  Oh wait, that was me who was that stupid.  Never mind
