Back many years ago, I was friends with a provider who pimped out other females.
In short, she would offer her services to other young women, as a manager / scheduler of sorts.
I will refer to her a K
She took a certain percentage of whatever the total fee was, and she also scheduled, and provided the incall location for the parties involved.
She explained to me one time, of how she was able to prevent the " managed providers from ripping her off". The girls would either attempt to short K, or they would try to steal the client, by doing a back deal, and K did not care about the back deal, or stealing a client, cause she said the girl and client were free to do as they pleased, Just as long as K was able to collect on the provided in call rent, and any management fee she had coming.
If you can believe it, it was common place for these girls, to attempt to screw over K and when they did so, and were caught, then the relationship ended right then and there.
Often the providers, would come back begging K to manage them again, and just like clock work, they would give into temptation somewhere down the line and try to short K out of her share. and then to the curb they went!
You see, K had been a provider at one time, and then got into scheduling for others, and then developed a business mind, to manage the providers if so desired.
There were never any force or intimidation involved, and a girl could walk at any time.
K often would vet the new girls, by approaching existing clients, and giving the client a deep discount, or some sort of arrangement was made.
( smile ) K had a couple of new girls approach me, and seduce me, and then K got first hand knowledge of the try out, from both parties, at the time, I was not aware of the game that K was playing out on me, LOL but eventually she told me, with a big laugh, and at first I was pissed, but then I got over it, but boy did she have the wool pulled over my eyes.
K was a neighbor of mine, when I was a young teen, and I was quite familiar with K and her husband, and that is where I learned about the world of prostitution, and of catty women, and drug addicts, and thives, and so on so forth.
So, as is pointed out by another poster, the meaning of Pimp, and yes K was a pimp or madame
or whore manager. But she treated the girls nice, I seen some girls come to K that were an absolute mess, strung out on drugs and so on, and K spend a lot of time attempting to help these girls out. and also steered a few minors out of the trade as well. And a few got knocked up, and back then abortion was illegal, and K had a friend of a friend, who was a doctor, so K had the girls take a vacation to somewhere, and presto, no more baby issue, and no back ally crap as well.
so it is difficult to judge someone such as K, as a Pimp, because she cared about the girls, and no doubt, she cared about making money as well, but she was able to put the 2 together, and it worked for her, and for the other parties as well.
