If they have multiple rates across ads, I'd find the lowest one and say, hey, I saw your ad for $x.   Then it is up to them to decide what to do about it.

In reality though I usually book thru p411 and if they have a rate there, of course I use that one.

It’s frustrating when a provider increases her rates and doesn’t update her ads (P411, Tryst etc.), TER profile, and personal web site (if she has one) to reflect the new rates.  Thus folks like me who check her ads, web site etc. to get her current rate before requesting an appointment get an unpleasant surprise when they find out her rate has changed.

It only takes a few minutes to make those changes. Please do your clients a favor and keep your published rates up to date when you change them. I’d greatly appreciate it, and I expect others would too.  And if you already do that… thank you!

making things uniform across platforms is mostly easy to do and typically only takes a few minutes, there are a select few platforms where the advert or profile has to go back through moderation for a day or two to be approved (like Eros and TER)

quick tip though: if the provider has a personal website trust the rate that's listed on their personal website because they are taking care of the maintenance of that weekly, if not daily

also, if you do not see rates on someone's ad but they have a personal website, that's by design... they are funneling you to their website where all the relevant and up to date information you need is located

Good points. And I know to depend first and foremost on the provider’s web site.  But when they don’t have one yet still have their old rate on multiple ad sites, all of which they can edit easily, several days after giving me a new rate when I ask about scheduling an appointment, that’s when I get peeved.

The problem isn’t that the rates differ across different sites. The rates are the same. The problem is they’re outdated… even on P411.

If all her rates are all the same on all her sites how do you know she is more expensive then she actually is?
Or is it the thing where when you get there she is like "oh by the way you owe me $100 more .

I've had an experience with this.  I finally had my schedule worked out to see a fantastic, well known lady who rocked my world.  After I had left, she sent me a text that informed me I had shorted her $.  Prior to meeting, there was ZERO discussion of the donation as I never discuss money before unless I can't figure it out.  That said, she's listed on at least 4 ad sites, including this one at the time with the amount that I donated.  Turning around in rush hour traffic already 15 miles away was not on option that worked for me.  It all worked out but I still felt like an ass.  I had let her know I would make it right the next time in town, whether she had the time to see me or not.  I recently met her again (after about 4 months) and added the balance and got my world rocked again.  I see she's updated her donation now and actually bumped it another $.  Still worth it!

If that happened to me (it hasn’t), I don’t think I would’ve made up for the provider’s mistake like that—and I wouldn’t have felt like an ass about it.  I probably would have asked her to clarify what she meant by “shorted”, then when she explained, I would’ve reminded her that her ads had a different amount, which I paid, at the time of our session, and since she didn’t correct that info any time before the session, that’s what I believed her rate to be.  But I’ll be glad to pay her new rate, as published, should I see her again.  That would depend on what her new rate is relative to other providers I enjoy seeing.

Now, if some of those four ad sites had her new rate, then yes, go ahead and feel like an ass 🙂, and paying for your mistake to not ask for clarity before the session (e.g., “is the information re donations on youradsite.com current?”) is appropriate.

I mean everyone can do what they want but I for sure wouldn't have felt guilty. If she didn't have the time to change the rate on any of her sites, then I would be like she's shit out of luck. If she was really good, I could certainly give her a tip the next time I saw her but a person has to do their due diligence and stay on top of thier rates.

It depends on which sites. Agree with P-411and Tryst but many others are not even current as they never posted their add there on these “scraper” sites in the first place.

She tried to pull the "I forgot to update my website" BS, and then very passively aggressively agreed because I found her rate before she "changed" it.

My apologies, I’ve been out of the country and just forgot to update my p411. It’s set now.
