At least, I've never seen it before.  I've seen cases where a provider asks for a photo of the prospective client, which seems fair enough to me since I always want to see a photo of the provider before I decide to see her.  But a minimum income limit??  So if I *only* make $248k, fuhgettaboutit?  Or if I'm an asshole but make over $250k, I'm A-OK with this provider?  And, just how will she validate the client's income?  She can't simply do, say, a google search and find out the guy doesn't really make over $250k... although her prospective clients can do a google search to find out at least 2 of the photos in her BP ad aren't of her.  ;-)

A funny thing about the $250k limit... it's the same as the proposed threshold for higher taxes.  So looks like some of our law makers and this particular provider are on the same wavelength on income limits.

Maybe it is her way of saying no black men or other ethnics....unless you're rich.
This is the type of GFE I understand and TER is then the proper forum for this discussion.

She does set her target market, however. I wish her luck, but I wonder if BP is really the advertising venue for her target demo? I would think that folks like that are 411 shoppers.

Sure, a rich guy would probably be a good source of income from upselling.  She needs to realize that according to the census, only 1.2% of men make over $250k, and I'm guessing that is much lower in Minnesota.  Likewise, even if 20% are looking for services, what are the chances they'd be scanning Backpage instead of using an agency or verification service (remember, they have much more to lose).  Let's assume at a high end that half would use Backpage.  That brings it down to 0.12% or only 2300 men.

Of course the percent of said men who would see that ad and run is probably quite high.

Good luck lady, you're gonna need it.
