I have been lucky enough to have attended several different ones in various parts of the country. They are great fun if organized correctly. I know there are several groups in different cities where two hobbyists are in charge of putting it together. The girls are invited and get to enter for free and the gents pay anywhere from $25.00 - $40.00 to attend by invite only to cover the expenses of food, booze etc.
I have met some really wonderful gents at these functions. It made the session even better since we had already met and meeting some of the ladies has been a blast.
I wouldn't really attend anything too close to home if they weren't by invite only because I do not want to be recognized lol. I can just see it now....as I am getting ready to tee off some guy says, Hey don't I know you ?lol. Not everyone is blessed with common sense when it comes to discretion (on both sides

I used to be quite experienced as an event organizer for this kind of thing, kinda, heehe. I have met alot of clients, mainly single, some not, that have wished aloud that this be a way to meet other providers and hobbyists, I would be willing to help others with the planning when it comes to sending invitations or even the use of a webpage at my site for the announcement and details. I know it is hard, but sometimes a afternoon gathering is more conveniant for hobbyists to get away to. Many adult Yahoo groups here in the Twin Cities have regular meet and greets either at bars or private settings already, don't see why it couldn't work for us- I think the envirement has been improving in the cities among providers, maybe I'm wrong, but have been working on it- it's hard as everyone is busy with their work and own lives and schedules, but every local provider I have had contact with are really nice ladies with no animosity as far as I can tell Just a few thoughts, xxxoo J.
Out in Chicago last week I attended yet another excellent meet and greet thrown by Diamond Jim of Provider Video. over 50 gentlemen and between 8 and 10 ladies showed up, and we had an amazing time getting to know each other and flirting!
I have now attended I believe 4 or 5 of these meet and greets, and every one gets a little bit better. I would certainly be willing to help host such a party up in the Twin Cities, as I am all about bringing the community together for a nice and relaxing atmosphere with no drama
Of course references are always required for such an event, and we try our best to keep the troublemakers away I will be celebrating a new DVD release sometime in the near future anyways, so to me that sounds like a great reason to throw a party! Well, that and to show off the new, slimmer me that has yet to be seen in pictures!!!
Randy, I think you're onto something, so if some people want me to take charge and get this going, I will do what I can to make a party happen!
