A former tattooed provider keeps sending emails/texts what have you about being robbed and in desperate need of assistance. Problem is it happens every couple months lol! I've told her to stop contacting me but she continues on. At least i can block her to a point.

More than likely, it's not from her.  I'll bet that the email says not to contact by email, but to call.  Her email has landed on a scammer's list.  It's happened to a couple of friends of mine, they had no knowledge of it.  My only recommendation to them was to do a full virus scan & clean.

This sort of thing has happened any number of times.  Mass emails sent out supposedly from someone who has run into unexpected financial problems, usually while traveling, and asking for money to be sent.

On further thought..... might also be OP's email that has been compromised.  This scam relies on a sort of man-in-in-the middle attack, it works when both endpoints know each other.  Forging a return address is less than trivial, the scammer just needs to know both email address to successfully send the scam message out.

This doesn't really have much to do with online contacts.  Any system where email endpoints are stored can be harvested for this scam.  Online email, sure.  If your home PC/Mac/etc. has had malware loaded, it's also possible to intercept email addresses just like a keystroke logger.

Wrote my first review of good time with her in 2007, different handle. Saw her several times in next few years, but she became unreliable and messed up. Text messages and emails for "help" have been arriving for several years. Don't know if it's her or not, just delete.

That sounds beneath her .
So unless actual proof from Miss TAK herself I have no reason to trust you and to see you as nothing more than a shit starter .
Doesn't even work in MN anymore but I'm certain she appreciates you ruining her reputation way over here.
And if it is true how impossibly low class of you to kick someone when they're down and out.
Wow just... Wow.

As jager also confirmed, those emails have been arriving sporadically for years. She has claimed to be robbed or otherwise victimized at least half a dozen times. It is a pity, but she does still advertise here sometimes and there's no reason others should have to be subjected to those emails, so giving a warning was fair play.

And other bad behavior.  Her reputation was shot long before this.

Ah, yes I know who you mean. I was curious to meet her a while back but something about the tone of the emails was a bit odd, as far as I recall. Can't remember exactly what or how, but it was something along the lines of, she was in another state but if I would pay for her flight then I could have an overnight with her. Interesting.
