Shakespeare wrote, " Parting is such sweet sorrow ", and so it is for you, my friend.  I know that you look forward to the sweetness of being close to your children and grandchildren in the Far West.  I also know of the sadness and sorrow that you feel over leaving your many friends in your community and in this community of fun-loving ladies and gentlemen. Although I have known you personally for only a short time, I am going to miss you very much.  I will miss our little chats on the phone, I will miss your visits to my home, and above all, I will miss your sweet, kind, and caring person and the many kindnesses that you have shown me in the short time that we have known each other. I know that you will be missed by your many friends, especially by some very special ladies.

I cannot say goodbye, my friend, I can only say, until we meet again.  Please come back again, soon.

not care about someone as special as you my friend. You are a once in a lifetime experience John, someone who's friendship I will cherish forever. You will always be with me my friend as I will carry your memory on in my heart always. Yes, this isn't goodbye, just see you later. Would have called last night, but after reading this, there was no way I could have talked to you without becoming a blubbering mess. Take care dear friend and am working on a return visit soon.
