I lost my Dad five years ago this Christmas day. My Dad died in his chair holding his only grandson who was only 3 at the time.
Christmas has never been the same, and will never hold the joys it once did. Maybe thats one reason why I indulge in this hobby.

I don't know about anyone else, but I have mixed feelings this holiday season...my children will be celebrating Christmas Eve with their father and his family, which leaves me alone for the day (and the morning after-Christmas morning).  Most of the people that I know have families of their own, including wives and children. My extended family is not from around here, so I'll be bringing my kids to visit them for a late Christmas celebration, probably on the 27th.  Sometimes we providers, although we may have numerous friends, don't get the opportinity to be with (you) on special occations, and it gets lonely.  Poor me, hey?  O.K., I'm over it...there, now I'll just get out of that train of thought, be grateful for the limited time we get together, and move on.  Do any of you gals ever feel like this?

I understand how you feel.  I lost a father at a young age and allways miss the heck out of him this time of year.   I am sorry the holiday's can be diffacult for ya.

It can be a tough time of year for many people. I for one should know. Hang in there girl and enjoy the time with your childrn when you get the chance. Keep in touch and Peace to you.

I was very glad to meet you.  I hope you have a good time
with your kids this weekend.  You are a special lady.
