I was going to put this in the newbie section, but that appears to be nation wide. I've yet to meet my first provider and wondered if there might be a recommendation for a first timer. I just joined the VIP club and I'm reading all the stuff I should probably know in the newbie forum, but I'm still a little nervous.

i'm a bit of a newbie too. I've done the massage thing, and I've been stalking this board for a while... any recommendations would be great.

The whole verification thing with 411 and RS2K (and others) scares me...

Just a short bit of advice.

Use the search items to narrow your choices.  Then read the reviews on those that draw your interest.

As you don't have any references find someone that others have given good reviews to for the verification process.  That seems to be the part that scared me the most at first but I found it was quite painless and VERY DISCRETE when you do your homework.

I just signed up with date-check on Thursday, got the phone call on Friday at work. Fortunately, I have no one to hide anything from. My friend said I should join date-check, the 411 site and another one...something 2K. I went with date-check since it had a lifetime membership.

This actually brings up another question: are most providers usually good at giving references for the people they meet, or is it something I should ask for (could be quite awkward), or do you just have to keep at it until someone gives a reference?

your first, I would let you know about the verification things, since you haven't seen a provider before!  I could be gentle or as rough as you want me to be.....everything is totally up to you Hope to hear from you soon sweetness!!

I'm fairly new as well and I did not do P411 right away and was able to get past the references thing by being patient, respectful and providing whatever info the provider asked for.

Keep in mind that the screening process benefits you as much as the provider so don't make the mistake of starting out with someone who is less diligent just because it might be a little easier to set up. Give your dream girl the chance to tell you what she needs in terms of references, be willing to do what she asks if that means signing up for a service or whatever and have fun.

Also keep in mind that some providers will not necessarily return emails or calls promptly or even at all. That's just the way this business is so don't let that discourage you.

Also, don't necessarily expect that your first time will be perfect, you'll be nervous, you might not click with that provider for whatever reason etc...but it is no big deal.

After a few times you'll be in a much better position to match yourself up with providers based on their reviews, your likes etc...
