So, I saw this new girl yesterday (Karley from BP, who is fantastic, by the way), and I was rather dressed up, which prompted her to ask me where I had come from. I told her I was at an office gathering, to which she responded, "We shoulda gotten drinks before coming here; I would've loved to parade a classy gentleman around the bar with me" (she had just come from a bar). Whether or not she meant it, it got me wondering: would any of you providers out there meet up for drinks with a client before heading to the rendezvous point, provided you didn't have anyone booked before him? Would you bill him for your time there? Is there anyone, provider or patron, who has had such an experience before?

in my experience, yes, providers will meet with you for drinks, dinner, a walk in the park, a drive in the country, a movie or concert, etc.  Review providers' websites.  Many post "packages" that include public time and private time.

Of course they get paid for this time, and the thought of not paying should not even cross your mind.   Some providers will allow a discount off the regular rate for this type of meeting, but you should not assume it.

Also, if you are new to a provider, be mindful of the fact that she may view certain situations -- e.g., hopping in your car for a ride -- to be a security risk, and may decline that option until she gets to know you.

....usually OFC, your suggestion...50/50.  Either way leave no grey area to avoid bad feelings later on.

But I do have a rate for going out on the town before a session. It is reasonable (to me) and some guys say it should be more... however I am not a scrooge :) I am upping this rate for the school year because I have less time to sit and sip drinks, so if you want it, you'll have to show me!

Anyway... I hope this answers some of your questions. This week I've had about 4 hours of drinks before appts (separate instances). They are rather fun! It is listed on my site.

Keep in mind, though, that ALL we charge for is our time.  That is IT.  Whatever you want to do with that time is very fluid and dependent on the experience you want to have.  I always have 'talk' time in my sessions, because that is a very important part of it for most people.  Most guys want to please me, too, and that's what does it.  It is what gets me more 'in the mood.'

but they don't advertise that (usually) and don't want it in reviews or discussed on the boards.   And, it likely would not be off the clock unless they knew you well and you repeated with them on a regular basis.  Then it would be a "thank you" gesture and a show of appreciation but it should never be expected!

with two of my regular providers, if I'm their last appt. for the day. We'll go out for drinks and food.

....and depends on the length of the date. I've shared a quick drink before (and after) with a date but they were after 2hr dates. Also depends on how busy the bar is. And I didn't bill for extra time because like I said they were quick drinks (emphasis on quick...... scooped em' up had a few sips and talked maybe 5 mins before taking them back to the room or same situation after the date).

"While I'll let the providers answer for themselves"

Well, that's very gracious of you!

I'm curious.  When someone asks a question, why would you feel that you should caution that person not to "assume" the answer?  Doesn't the fact that the question was asked suggest that the questioner is not "assuming" the answer?

Almost like a rule of thumb.

Two Thirds of the dates I go on start with 'Get to know you time' over drinks.  Getting to know her as a person, and sometimes a friend, totally enhances the BR time:)

While some escorts do list rates for this sort of thing, others do not and there's no way to find out without asking.  These conversations are easier to have after the first time you have seen someone but if you and the lady are interested in having a preliminary personal M&G ahead of time to break the ice or even see if you both want to go through with the appointment.
