How will you spend your Thanksgiving?

What's on the menu?  ;)

This is my second Thanksgiving, because I had to cook for 15 in October so a relative could catch a plane to warmer parts.  This will be Thanksgiving Number 2 for me in 2013.

What about you?  :)

One thing we do each year is seek out at least one but as many people who may be alone as we possibly can to invite for dinner on Thanksgiving Day. There are many out there who will be alone for the holiday for one reason or another (just moved, traveling for work, divorced, etc) and they needn't be

That is a great idea. Our family has done that, too, through the years and for various holidays if we hear of someone who will be alone.  There is no reason anyone should have to spend the holiday alone.

Having family & friends over for dinner. Also laying out a continental breakfast for the other tennants in my building.

..........I would like ONE HALF of your energy, please.  :)

They cook and they send home leftovers.

...had Thanksgiving with the side of the family that can properly cook a turkey today.  "Dry-as-a-bone turkey covered in gravy in a futile attempt to add some moisture" dinner on Thursday.  Family all around at both of them, though, so it is still all good.

It also cuts down about 1/3 of the time to bake it.

Those cooking bags saved me from having to get up at 6am to start frying onions and celery for the dressing/stuffing. I used to put the turkey in at like 8am now I can wait until at least 10am!  So easy and ALWAYS MOIST!

Yes the garbage bag. For those of you that don't like white meat (and don't mind paying extra) try a GOOSE! Years ago my mother cooked one because I always complained about the dried out turkey white meat. DELICIOUS!

DONT OVER COOK IT and Slice it before serving it but after it has cooled.

Take the bird ou of the oven 45 min early ... It will continue to cook as it cools ... That's the number one reason turkeys are dry, they are over cooked ... Then after an hour carve the turkey ... The juice is settled ... If you carve it when it too hot the juice runs out ... Last but not least drizzle some of the drippings on the sliced pieces .... I promise you will hear compliments!

That sounds like good advice. I have always thought that the instructions for turkey (and goose as well) have you cook them too long. Since Goose is so expensive, I'll try your suggestions at Christmas or New Years. I still like the dark meat better.

We used to go drive around drinking hot chocolate, while laughing at people waiting in the cold to do Black Friday shopping.  Mostly because we just got done helping people waiting in line in the cold to get food, so they could have some sort Thanksgiving.

I'll be spending it with family and friends and recovering from my two girl appointment with Remy and Vienna!

This Superior lady will have her fancy tickled with watching the BIG balloons float down 6th ave.
Nothing is bigger then this parade.

And I like my meat moist.

It's raining, but supposed to clear before Thanksgiving. No turkey, it's a special order over here and we arrived too late. Olive oil straight out of the press, though, and lots of wine, and good friends.

I would much prefer capresi salad, fresh pasta, veal oso buco and my favorite Brunello di Montalcino. Great way to celebrate with friends. Enjoy!!

I work at the barn in the morning and have only Thanksgiving eve off.... I have family many states away and many friends from school left with their new jobs taking them far far away! I Will have a special lover over the evening before Thanksgiving, Work Thxgiving day, come home to hungry kitties and make some Mashed Potatoes, Maybe buy a rotisserie Turkey (do they have those?!), and open a can of cranberry sauce :} I will probably take naughty seasonal x rated photos and drink yummy German wine before falling asleep after a hard masturbation session ;) Love my life.

A big " hell ya" to appreciating your life just the way it is!! I'm with you on that! As a matter of fact...I'm also one to use the same "put myself to sleep" method! ;)

A meal, probably a movie, and some football.  It will be good.

just like every Thanksgiving and Christmas. Start wednesday evening and finishing friday sometime

Drinking beer and watching football, passing out on the couch, sparring with relatives, eating dry turkey that even lumpy gravy can't save.  good times

she lives!  and while i'm at it, thanks for that which you have given me in the last calendar year--i seem to remember a few fun times prior to you invoking your cloak of invisibility ;)

Are we related?!?!?!

Happy Thanksgiving, one and all!!

about the hottie that sings the opening Thursday night football theme song on nfl channel, "welcome to our city". I assume she's a pop singer, anybody know who she is?
