Maybe it is time to move to a different board.

I don't have VIP and I guess now I won't be using TER.

MN boards are slow for good reason. We have some issues in our largest city.

I understand not wanting to take the risk, but then why complain? The guys that post here are taking all of the risks and you're getting a free ride.

If they took away the free memberships for people that post reviews, that is one thing. The guys that post reviews are in the game with the rest of us.

But if you just want to consume a "unique" product for free without any risk, I'm sorry but I have very little sympathy for you. To the bold go the spoils.

I think many guys here can tell you how to pay for a membership while protecting your identity. If that doesn't do it for you, you shouldn't even be here as the cops can trace your IP address if they want to.

Why has activity on this particular board lessened? Hate to break it to you and others, but the board is not as active (and mostly comprised of ads, ISO posts and B&S complaints) because this particular board has become unappealing lately.

No offense, but before recent events, we had an awesome board!! Our board was fun, upbeat and live! We had provider Friday posts, theme days, discussions, and crude photos for no reason but to have a good laugh…and now we have complainers…who came out of nowhere!!!  These new characters’ attempts at dictating our board and complaining when a provider posts something are the ones who really set the tone for the BS atmosphere here...post recent events. We all know who they are, so take it up with them!

Honestly, in order to get back to “normal” after recent events, we need COMMUNITY. We need to all feel WELCOMED here and we need to establish TRUST. Most of all, we need to have a good time. This will never happen when there are a few bad apples in our otherwise tasty bag of fruit (who really should be tossed out or moderated, if you ask me…hello!).

Personally, I would rather spend my time on the General Board or the Chicago one, instead of this one...worrying about the next backhanded comment to come my way or other providers' ways. No offense, but besides putting up my once a week ad, I feel the MN board does not deserve my participation (or anyone else who is an asset to our community…providers and hobbyists alike…there are many of us).

Recent events + complainers attempting to halt board activity = An unattractive MN board. Yes, I said it.

If you noticed, a shrink in participation has not happened TER-wide. Yesterday, there were 6,000 viewers on at one given time, while many times there are just 4,000. Besides, the summer just came to an end, and many of us have been out enjoying the weather rather than posting here.

Life is too short to mingle with those who spew venom. It is simply not worth it.

To those who enjoy my writings, I will be putting my blog back up soon! I immensely enjoyed your participation when it was up before, and I can’t wait to do it again. Although I will write about a variety of topics (e.g. erotica stories, current interests, etc.), I will occasional reply to discussion topics I see there rather than here until I notice a shift in the negative attitudes towards particular providers who participate on this board (again...moderation is needed). If you haven’t already, check out some of the blogs other MN ladies keep. Our fine state is filled with awesome ladies who are beautiful writers. Further, there is one sexy hawt lady that I know of who shares theme day photos on her blog, which is a lot of fun and a nice pick-me-up in the middle of the day.

I've noticed a change too but you hit the nail on the head.

I pretty much agree with Giamarie and the previous post about not having much sympathy for freeloaders. What goofy sense of logic motivates someone to complain about the value of something that does not cost them anything?

Having started with TER just prior to the LE drama in MN I've witnessed the change Gia describes. While many boards of all types are overpopulated with vulgar, self-absorbed posters this one had very little of that a few months back but has been moving in the wrong direction.

However I'm not convinced a heavier hand from the moderator is the right solution. I would prefer to see the civilized ladies and gents step up and raise the level of discourse ever higher so that the whiners and losers simply realize that they are the unarmed party in this battle of wits and move on. This would foster the sense of "community" much better than a single individual trying to determine how things should go.

I would ask Gia and all of the other providers and hobbiests who care about the MN board to post more, not less, in the hopes that the current situation can be improved upon without  resorting to a more restrictive approach to moderation.

Gia definitly has a point! Considering im a newbie I have noticed alot of negativity on this board... With that said everyone have a great day!

There are always going to be negative posters on a forum such as this one. If you allow them to keep you and other positive posters away then they have won.

What they have won I am not sure of but the loss of any poster is a loss to this board. Even negative posters or ones you may disagree with should be able to have their say.

GiaMarie and others, plese reconsider, help turn this board into a fun place once again!

Non-VIP can still search the system and make sure a girl has history and a profile.  Non-VIP can still search by their own criteria.
You still have the thousands of discussion board page archives to search for names and phone numbers or ISOs.

But this database is HUGE and the best online for escorts.  You're just going to throw a tantrum and walk away from access to notes on over half a million providers because you are willing to spend $300 but not $20 to find out if the person you're going to see is legitimate or has a pimp that's going to smack you over the head and rob you?

Yes this board was friendlier earlier this year before we lost our friends at MFP, MHOP, but guys start f**king pussy instead of acting like a pussy. Also, whose identity are you protecting? The providers mostly put a picture and a phone # or web site e-mail out for us to view. I don't think you would need to be a rocket scientist to make trouble if that was your agenda. Identity? So to all that use a handle to hind and run for cover when things warm up, I say stand up, act like a man to be treated like a man. Pony up.

I agree that there have always been negative posters, but have seen the negative shots be more personal in the past 6 months. I can understand why some of the providers have pulled back from keeping the board a friendly place. I have been a paid VIP for about 6 years,and never posted very much, but had 37 reviews up under a handle I felt had to disappear. Keep at it Gia, Sassy, Remy, Jenny and others. I wonder if SexyKittenJen rented a husband yet?

Have to say:

I've been in the hobby a couple of years now.   I'm a five or six session a year guy, so figure that a year's worth of membership fees is a not small percentage of my annual hobby budget.  

The cost of belonging here VIP and having access to the information is a bargain.

So, imho, get the fuck over it.  The operators of the site are rightfully concerned with the paying customers and unless I'm missing something I doubt that anyone complaining is contributing much to paying traffic. If you don't want to pay, don't, but have enough self-respect not to complain about what you're not getting for free any more.

Gia said it well......it is discouraging to experience negative people criticizing posts on this board. I have no intentions of paying for a membership though! I hope competition and some other site correct the decisions TER has made.

There is a good balance point between getting some good free information as enticement to pay for more.  Call it a "loss leader" for TER.  However, with each policy change, TER is decreasing the availability of free information available without enhancing the value of the members-only info.  This is a suicidal business model.  

Then you have the local board.  For a long time, the very best providers never got wrapped up in board drama. (Remember the "Misty Days"?)  Good, skilled providers posted an ad every now and then and rendered excellent service.  Participating in board drama or trash talking is always bad business for providers.  It just doesn't make any sense.    

Looking at this and past threads, they are now encouraged to bad mouth prospective clients. (Nice business strategy.)  Ladies using fake ads like "Monica" aggressively defend their practice and get support from the dorks on this board.

Like it or not, clients are the ones paying the bills.  Even if you think you "won" in some board battle, you lost.

And make no mistake, by helping render the MN TER board practically useless (aside from cheesecake pics of escorts), the escorts lost.  

I looked around for months before I made the plunge. I looked at ads everywhere, but didn't trust any of them. I kept looking at the non-VIP section of TER, but decided if I was going to do this, I needed to be a member. It was one of the best investments I ever made (considering most of my other investments were in Wall Street and the SF Bay area housing market. Damn! lol) and I would not have met some really fine providers (and one exceptional one) in a couple cities.

If you are too cheap to pay (what, a years subscription is less than an hour with most responsible providers) then don't. Want to leave? Fine. Ultimately, it is your loss.

Ive been a VIP for many years.To me its worth the price because i only see reviewed providers and have only had one bad experience. On the other hand i have had many fantastic experiences based on the reading i do here. Do the math is it worth it? Hell yes  JMO
