A local provider was arrested...sad_smile

A local provider called me today to tell me that she was set up by a previous client (had references) that was working with LE. He even apologized to her afterward. They took all of her phones and her laptop (she does not keep any info on it). They tried their best to "scare the hell out of her" by telling her she could even be charged with a felony. They also read her Miranda rights to her and she refused to talk without her lawyer present (smart lady!). No charges have been filed at this point but they told her that they had been watching her for a while, which seems hard to believe because she uses hotels in many suburbs and the LE was from one suburb (You guessed it!). They seemed to try to find out whether she had a pimp, which she does not. I worked with another provider to find her a lawyer that is familiar with these kinds of cases. I don't mean to try to scare anyone but I feel it is my responsibility to let you all know. Obviously, I can't use names, locale, etc. She did tell me that the client goes by the name of "Ed." Here is a good example of freedoms that people in other countries take for granted that we in the U.S. have to put up with because of the "moral police." So much for women owning their own bodies and choosing what they want to do with them. You can pm me but I won't give out details to protect the provider.

If that is all the info you're going to give.

along with my alias. Also watch out for Ed. I think you can understand why a provider wouldn't want the details released. Everybody knows the two main LE depts in the cities that do this sort of thing. We all need to remember from time to time that we are being watched. It seems like when we don't hear about this kind thing that we can all let down but in reality we need to pay attention to the clues and trust our intuition when something doesn't seem right.

you're supposed to read between the lines

This post is lacking something and doesn't seem to make any sense to me.  There is no way a "previous client" works with LE in the way you describe. To scare her with a felony is even more crazy.  I dought "Ed" even exists.

Don't worry, I will not be PM'ing you for details

Heck, for all we know you could be LE just trying to put a scare out.

The original story assumes we know a lot of facts and information. I'll be the first to say I've been in the hobby for a couple years and I don't know what he's talking about. Maybe it's because I do mainly outcall appts, but still...

No. It's not just you. I've been doing this for about 8 years in the Cities and I don't know what he's talking about either.

Well I certainly think so!  I'm trying to make sure it wasn't someone I saw last night!!!

With all of the B/S and false rumors related to the MFP thing, unless you have specifics to post then keep your stories to yourself. If you know something then say it !

Back in the days before TER, everyone used to post reviews on Craigslist. Remember those days? Providers and clients alike would also post specifics of what provider was busted and where. So unless you be more specific, people are going to question your facts and motives.

Agreed.  All this post accomplishes is spreading fear.  I'd hope most of us are already aware that we need to "be careful."

I simply can't give out specifics without betraying the provider. Whoever made the point about not being able to pm an alias....sorry, I didn't realize that a pm couldn't be sent to me as an alias. Just be aware that this happened to someone who didn't see it coming and just be careful. Didn't you read my anti-LE rantings. I don't know how often this happens to established providers but it is very shocking when it does. Unfortunately, you will not get any more info from anyone other than what I post unless the provider decides to do so. I feel very sad for her and how disruptive it is dealing with the threats and potential exposure. It is a very scary thing. Just know that the Bloomington strip is still very unsafe for providers.

It's all just to spread fear.

BeCarefulOutThere1786 reads

It has been so hard to spread fear since Obama. Wow, I miss the good old days of Bush and Cheney, I could make you people sweat then.....because we would be tapping your lines and listening to your conversations. We would just come to your home and take you away in the middle of the night. That Patriot Act was a gift from God. FEAR just doesn't work the way it used to.

Without that, saying that someone got busted accomplishes nothing, other than possibly making every provider who reads this nervous if the guy on the phone says his name is Ed, which is a pretty common name.

Whether you're serious either way, with the review OR about being LE, what a major fuckin' waste of time!!

IMHO, in this day and age and especially in this community, SKEPTICISM is more powerful than fear.  And if anyone's afraid here, it's you.

You wanna scare us?  Do your damn homework because your attempt at instilling fear was amateur at best, nowhere near what any self-respecting and dare I say AUTHORIZED LE official could hope to instigate.

I don't see the point of you posting under an alias since you are not stating the name of the provider. furthermore this is all a fantasy.

If you can't tell the whole story, shut up!

in order to get charges dropped just stop playing the game RIGHT NOW!!!  If you are soooooo damned scared about getting charged then stop taking the risk.
My gosh!!  Yes, you'll get exposed to your family, and what??  a fifty to fife hundred dollar fine?  Are you telling me you can't afford that?
How many busts have been made where the hobbyist quietly pays his little fine and then goes back to his life as usual.  Hobbying as usual.
Can people just grow a set of balls???
Yes, this is illegal.  And if you are caught, Yes!  You are guilty!!  So the fuck what??

So be fucking guilty, take your little punishment and go on with your fucking life!!  Now, I've been around for a long while and I can tell you that there is not one person that I know in this business who is dumb enough to "help LE" catch a provider or a hobbyist.  Of all the people I know in this bizz, not one of them is that insane because they know that working with LE is worse than just taking the little fine and moving on with life.
So when I hear these trumped up stories about people "turning" on other people I really have a hard time believing it.  We are small potatoes.

Now, if there is human traffiking involved, drugs, imbezzlement, murder, child pornography, etc.. then, yes, I would hope that LE would do what ever it takes to catch the perp.  But a well reviewed provider and a long time hobbyist who are being discrete and not causing any commotion??  Come on?  What's the point?

But what ever.  I don't know everything that's for sure. But I do know one thing, If I ever get caught doing anything illegal, that I know is illegal, whether I agree with the legalities or not, I will SHUT UP!!!  I will not admit to anything.  And if it's proven then so what.  I'll take my little punishment like a person of honor and dignity, and then I will go on with my life, living it the way I believe.  And no one else.. no one else will ever know.

Thank-You!!!

highly doubt OP is LE or being truthful maybe they should be flipped

I wonder how many were actually stupid enough to have lawyers contact LE in the last scare?

He was just trying to be helpful Musky. wow. you guys are something else.

I may be wrong, but I was always under the impression that you have your Miranda rights read to you when you are charged with a crime. The charges may be dropped at a later date for lack of evidence, but you only need to be told your rights when you get charged.

As for being charged for a felony, I call BS. They might have said that as a scare tactic, if it happened at all, but unless she was a "madam" or crossed state lines or had drugs involved then no felony was involved.

As for this whole warning. I think being adults and knowledgeable about what we are doing that we are either already being careful or won't be even with your warning. Thus this post does nothing, but create skepticism about you. Hell, I already believe that at least one escort/provider/prostitute/hooker/whatever is arrested every day, so telling me that one was arrested is nothing new anyway.

The only information you give is the supposed client used the name Ed (real name or not). So the only thing you did was to make it so any guys out there named Ed will have a harder time getting a session with any ladies who read this board and believe your story.

b-

you can be arrested and held for 36 hours before a charge or if they are not ready to charge you, you are released.  Charges can always come later after they have time to build their case.

You are read your Miranda rights when you are arrested.  They wait till the bitter end to read those rights hoping you will talk freely.  It all feeds into their case.  So STFU!!!!!

It's 48 hrs for a PC hold actually.
That totally smells like LE.
And yes STFU is your best defense :)
