Has 7 Reviews but last review was 3 years ago and has no recent references....And when I asked when his last review was he said a few months ago (lie). He also had an outfit request (no problem) but he asked for a specific outfit on a certain pic w/the filename of the pic. He wants 2 hours, but am I the only one seeing red flags here?

is this meant for the PO board?  but to answer your question, I am not seeing red flags yet, but I would certainly ask for more info since he has no recent history.  knowing the file name of a pic is not a big deal since you can get it by right-clicking on a pic and then looking under properties.   You are right to be cautious and request additional screening. Better to be safe than sorry!!

and in my experience both in this business and any other, the most demanding customers always pay the least and complain the loudest so check the envelope before the nightmare and expect a bad review after.

there are million of guys that actually notice you are a real person. he's not one of them.

Well, the review might either have been rejected or done on another site, so it might not be a lie. If the last viewable review was done three years ago, it could be that he's been out of the hobby or reduced his time in it for one reason or another (the economy and a possible job loss are the first reasons that come to mind). And not everyone owns a cell phone, myself included (hate and don't trust the things). The hobby did start well before the advent of them.

There're any number of perfectly rational and plausible explanations. Still though, it's always best to go with your gut.

I too, applaud you for your caution. I disagree with bb, I see several head scratchers, if not red flags.

The 3 yr gap in review is a problem. I can tell you as a guy, a dude with 7 reviews I assure you, looks on that with pride and accomplishment. Similar thing to ebay percentage rankings. Someone with a 100% on ebay takes great pride in that percentage and will work hard to keep it that way.

A guy with 7 reviews is aware that those reviews afford him some measure of respect from the women he calls. A guy with 7 reviews usually just doesn't suddenly stop for 3 years, unless something makes him stop.

Also, a guy with 7 reviews, trust me, knows EXACTLY when his last review was. You visit the girl, come back home and spend a lot of time writing and rewriting the review, submit, and wait anxiously for Puck to review your review and then you check every day, sometimes each hour, until the magical time when the review finally appears. Very few guys are going to then 'forget' when their last published review was.

my 2nd red flag with this guy is the filename issue. My experience has been that no matter how hard police try, if you look closely enough, there is usually one or two instances when they trip and reveal their slimeball faces. In this instance, this would make me think twice. Regular guys do not refer to pictures as filenames. Only police do. Why? Because they think and talk in terms of evidence and the filename of a picture is evidence in a sting.

If you do see him, I would advise holding off on acceptance of his donation for as long as you can. Don't immediately put if in your bag and begin taking your clothes off. let it stay where it is and make some small talk and observe the guy. Is he staying in one place and not moving around? Very bad sign because then it usually means Detective Peterson intends to remain where he is so that he is in full view of the undercover camera.

I'm not saying just from these things that this guy is automatically undercover, but I would urge you strongly to listen to the bells going off in your head. A nice 2 hour payday on the one hand, a kick yourself in the ass for going thru with it moment on the other.

God didn't give women intuition for nothing. In our case, it's usually there to tell the undercover slimeballs to go fuck themselves.

Is it possible he was referring to a different review site when he said his last review was from a few months ago?

and possible.  When I first read this, I thought someone who was a hobbyist who got married, tried to be good and, either recently divorced or honeymoon period wore off so now is out playing... hence the 3 year period of no reviews.  There are all kinds of plausible reasons for a period of no reviews.  Maybe his job took him out of the country...a serviceman perhaps.  Who knows?   That alone does not necessarily put up red flags for me. Neither does the pay phone.  Pink flags maybe but not red....YET!   More questions and more screening needs to be had!!

a little more info. If he's willing to share more personal information, he's probably okay. He did have 7 reviews here, so he's not completely a newbie. He should know the ropes, and be willing to give you what you need to verify him.

red flags to you...tainted pink ones to me.

But, I do agree and noted in my last post...the OP is definately on the right track in being leary and should question the guy and ask for additional screening.

There are hundreds of reasons for a guy to disappear from the hobby for 3 years. Believe me.....any provider can tell you a handful of different ones that she's heard at least a dozen times.   Marriage, divorce, finances (ie loss of job, new job, moved, house burned down, kids born, kids went to college, kids moved back home, spouse chronic illness, his own illness and/or surgery, kids orthodontist), elderly parents moved in, been stationed overseas, worked overseas, etc, etc, etc, etc.   Some men just get tired of writing reviews that have seemingly become harder to be approved.  Some post on other review sites...they are popping up all over but none compare to TER as we all know.   I have heard these same reasons over and over and over and over of why a guy can't give me a recent reference.  So, it happens...ALOT.  It's not a red flag.

The file name thing.again not necessarily a red flag.  Lots of techies out there nowadays.

Ask questions, get info, screen well, and some going with your gut.

I doubt it is LE; I don't think they would be so clumsy as to mess up on the question of when the last review was.  I also doubt that if they got a TER profile, they would be using one that hasn't had a review in three years.

That's not to say there aren't warning flags here but I doubt it is an LE situation.

P.S.  Puck doesn't approve reviews; the mods are not part of that process.

one short absence from activity by itself, nothing.

one funny way of requesting info, again by itself, nothing.

one guy who communicates only by pay phone, again by itself, nothing.

one guy with all three at the same time? and probably a couple more that she's not mentioning but has concerned her enough to post?
