A very helpful place to start would be the newbie board. Here you can ask questions and read about newbie experiences and past newbie topics not that MN posters are not willing to help.

I also recommend visiting the Self Help Center, link is below. It is actually fun to read and sort of a quick start guide to the hobby.

...that would be a good place to start so we can get to know you a little better. And, yes, this is the place to be if you're serious about becoming successful.
