I called on Kelly's BP ad and set a 2:30 appointment.  She told me the town where she was and instructed me to call her at 2:00.  Knowing it would take longer that 30 minutes to get to where she was, I left early and called at 2:00 from the road.  She did not answer so I left a voicemail identifying myself as her 2:30 and letting her know that I was on my way.  

She still had not called when at 2:20, I arrived in her town and parked at a fast food restaurant.  I called her - no answer, voicemail full.  I called her again at 5 minute intervals until 2:35 when I decided to start back to my point of origin.  I tried one more time at 2:40 and she answered.  

I identified myself as her 2:30 and indicated that I was still willing to meet.  She said that I was supposed to call her at 2:00.  I replied that I did and she did not answer so I left her a message.  She said that she would not do the appointment so I said goodbye and hung up.  She offered no explanation or apology.  

While this might technically not be an NCNS because we spoke, I feel that it resides in the same category because she did not keep her end of the agreement which caused me to waste 70 minutes of my time and I do not believe she would have answered my voicemail or made the effort to call and tell me it wasn't happening if I had not managed to get ahold of her.  

At least I got to see a part of the TC that I hadn't seen before.  Thanks for listening.  Venting over.  I feel better.

I think she is one of those who will double book and whomever arrives first gets the appointment.

I don’t understand people sometimes…..  From a pure business sense why would a person knowingly do this? Sure, I understand things happen, but…  Providers have to know that it’s going to be reported on discussion boards, and could have ramifications on their bottom line.  I guess what I’m trying to say is this is like any other service, if you treat people right you’re going to be successful, people will come back and you would build up a customer base, we see it all the time.  Again, basic customer service!!!!!  Just my $.02.

As well as some that don't care. Couple that with guys that don't know about TER and some girls can keep the phone ringing often enough.  Not the best thing in the long run but customer service and long-term thinking is something some people are not good at.

My personal experience over the years has been most hobbyists are not aware TER exists & the majority I have met that are have no interest in it. That said I believe it would be safe to assume these ladies don't care because a NCNS post, or bad review is not going to prevent their phones from ringing sufficiently.

Hard to believe that people wouldn't take advantage of TER......  That's crazy!

mbe   Thank you for the heads up.  This lady is no longer on my short list.  After getting NCNS last weekend I will pay much more attention and do mre research.  This is the board working as intended.

you were also right to report this as a NCNS because there was no response from her within a reasonable period of time. The attitude smacks of indifference to inconveniencing her clientelle. These are the types that think of clients as nameless and faceless "tricks".

She's off my list now as well.  I have little to no tolerance for NCNS.
