...that doesn't exist.  Maybe I'm not paying close enough attention but I can't recall the term "hobby" being anything but what it is.  Also, the term "monger" has been around forever and I don't think it implies negative or positive connotations to the individual...it just is what it is.

I bring this up because I recall you making a bold statement that you would certainly never see someone who is a monger...but yet, here you are:)

What are your suggestions? I like "the lifestyle" best.

Here's the jist of the topic:

"people have, on this very board, decried the use of the term "hobby", but so far there has been no real replacement for how to describe this "good life".    Then it struck me, how about "good life"?
 
It has a certain elegance and describes the feeling I get from my participation to a Tee.

I'd comment, but I've already commented in the general forum.  I have a feeling the people who read the MN forum also read the general forum (the opposite is obviously not the case.)  So I don't want duplicate answers as I think it is somewhat disrespectful of people reading time.
