Most of the time it's the same as the regular lap dance, just for more time.  Minnesota clubs discourage extras in the clubs although it does happen sometimes.  You'd have better luck I suspect discreetly asking about take out.  Regardless, expect for it to cost more than seeing an escort.

About the "take out" menu mentioned above. A provider friend of mine assures me that these options do exist. However, after several thousand dollars of ... entertainment ... I was never offered Extra VIP services. Of course, I was never brave enough to ask for them either.  

"extras" such as a hand job are a function of the dancer and the security in the club.  Some clubs have cameras in the private areas for security purposes, once those are in place, the managers need to put the kibosh on any such extras lest a member of law enforcement runs a sting.  That would get the business shut down pretty quickly.  

the options vary more with the size of the club.  Large show clubs--you pay for the show. Management has too much to lose by letting the ladies freelance.
Occasionally, you can get take out but it will cost you.
