Did I offend (sensual massage question)?

I'm relatively new to this, and I've had two DIY massages. The first provider was way more into kissing and cuddling, and I really enjoyed that. I responded to an ad to ask for more information. She sent one back, signed "Rachel" from an account "Ariel". I followed up with this message -

Hi there Ariel/Rachel,
Thanks for the response. You look gorgeous in your pictures, and I love your tattoos.
I have a couple more questions if you don't mind :) I'm curious why your ad and email name say Ariel while you sign Rachel.
Also, do you enjoy kissing and cuddling as well as mutual massage?
Thanks for your time,
Ted

Since then I haven't gotten any response. Was I out of line in the questions, or in expecting a response? The other two providers were very forthcoming in the emails I sent.

I'm just trying to figure this out.

It is a common practice to use a made up name in the hobby realm. Not everyone uses their real name, like you Mr. Johnson. In fact, some even will have multiple names and cannot keep track of which fake name they are using. Also Mr. Johnson, some providers have been known to use fake pictures to draw in unsuspecting hobbiests. I suspect that you may have found one of those dishonest providers that uses an alias AND fake pictures.

I agree, Mr. Johnson, that deception in the hobby is everywhere. It would be so much easier if everyone used their real names and photos. Keep looking Ted and I know you will find an honest provider that does not hide behind an alias.

I know of some long-time, very well regarded providers in the area who have gone by multiple names.  I don't think that by itself makes them dishonest.  Odd, perhaps, but not dishonest.  I've seen a couple of ladies who have used multiple names, and had very good experiences.  As for using photos of someone else, I do think there's something inherently dishonest about that.  It's possible to compose photos that don't reveal a person's identity.

For one of those ladies who went under multiple names, I thought it was strange that she had ads under two different names at the same time.  I got the sense that she was advertising two different personas, one nice/sweet, the other edgier.  That did raise a Red Flag, but everything else about her checked out so I made an appointment based on the ad that I found more to my liking... the nice/sweet one.  When I met the lady, I asked her which name she preferred, and she told me... it was the name associated with the nice/sweet ads.  I had a great time with her, and interestingly (coincidentally?), shortly thereafter the ads under the other name disappeared.

Sincerely,

John Doe (or, John Q. Public, take your pick)

Recently I saw an ad on BP where the name at the beginning of the ad was different then the one at the end.  ????

... The Names They Are a-Changin'.

Or maybe multiple personality disorder?

She is probably just switching her name to avoid the inevitable lawsuit from Disney.

in the last 4-5 years! it's a stage name! once guys meet me I tell them to call me shorty & that they met me at the casino! much easier to remember!! I HATE when guys ask me about my menu! everything can be found on 411

Talking about service can spook ladies or maybe she's so busy she hasn't gotten to yours yet or maybe you went into spam who knows. I'd try again but this time don't point out her technical error.
Xoxo V.

A lot of ladies know me by 2 names (my real and fake name) which is a very long story. It sucks because when I try to get ahold of them for future meetings I do not really know which name they know me by but I could just say where I know them from and that would just give it away.

Well I have emailed a provider before and when she emailed back there was another name in the headline.   Turns out it was her real name, has happened more than once.  Maybe the case for you and she realized her fuck up and it freaked her out.

Also, did you really not realize that providers, even DIY providers, might not use their real names? Best to be a gentleman and pretend not to notice.

On the other hand if a provider repeatedly drops her real name, she might well be doing it for a reason.
