I have been away from this for quite sometime now and I am sure this has been discussed before. My apologies for bringing something up that has maybe been discussed before. After going through the screening process and giving all the information needed that the provider asks for, how long should a person wait to hear back? Is four days long enough? I just want to be considerate and respectful of her time. In closing I was just wanted to get some feedback on here as what would be the right thing to do. Thanks.
If you haven't heard from her in 4 days, move on! Being considerate and respectful of time go both ways, she should be able to screen you or communicate with you within in 24 hours.
If she doesn't respond fairly quickly to that then time to move on. There are a lot of things that could have caused a delay but she should at least keep you informed.
Reasons for no response are various. 1. She doesn't want to see you for whatever reason (doesn't care or overbooked) 2. She can't see you for some reason. 3. She's out of town...in which case, she will likely reply to your email when she is back and available. 4. Her computer crashed and burned (personal experience here! LOL)
Personally, I think it is rude to not at least reply so the guy is not left waiting and wondering.
Good luck finding someone who is respectful of your time!!
Move on. If she makes contact later down the road tell her no thank you. Courtesy works both ways. I just recently had a decently reviewed provide pull that shit. I had chatted with her online, I told her I would have like to have seen her that weekend but her calendar said she was unavailable. She told me to send her my info and we would work something out. So I sent it via P411, then nothing. Normally it wouldn't bother me because of the short notice and her unavailable posted on the calendar. Then I saw that she had some post on the boards here later on that day and the next, so I know that a simple quick message was not too much to ask for. I just would've set something up for a later date, now piss on her she'll never get my business. There's plenty of other providers, and I'm sure she thinks there's plenty of other clients.
I allow about 24 hours for her to respond. I will allow more time if it's over a weekend, holiday, or some other event. But if it's been four days, it's time to move on to your second choice.
It's always smart to have a few other ladies in mind, if your first choice does not work out.
I totally agree! When I'm away, I still check regularly. The only exception is every other weekend, sometimes it takes two days. If it is a weekday, I check daily, and I always respond. I prefer the same courtesy, but I do not always get it, either.
What I'm thinking, though, is why not contact a few ladies. The first one to respond with an appointment gets your time. If you really want to see this ONE girl, then follow up if you'd like. However, what can it hurt to visit different restaurants if your favorite choice is unavailable?
Thank you everyone for your comments and suggestions. eom
