It's that time of the year already, can you believe it. The Minnesota State Fair grand opening was today running through Labor Day.  

Personally am a kid at heart which leaves me anxiously awaiting to explore the Mighty Midway area. After searching online notice a few new rides which am most definitely would have to hold on tight and test out.   I am also looking forward trying out two food item which are on the 2013 new food list, Deep Fried Olive and Grilled Glazed Donut. Yummy.  

Please share what your looking forward experiencing this year at the state fair?

I am totally going for the bacon wrapped shrimp! :) For someone who has only been in MN a few years it is VITAL to experience the fair as OFTEN AS POSSIBLE (at least 1x/yr) ;)  

Other than that the conversations you get there are great and the people watching is even better. Hanson Brothers performing?! Yes please! :) I will be there ;)

I don't eat meat but I liked the fried olives and tried the portobello bites they weren't bad at all.
The person I went with thought they could of cooked the bacon a bit more on the bacon wrapped shrimp ( Idk it looked chewy & undercooked to me.  
 I'm still on the fence about that wine smoothie though.  
My mind says no this doesn't work but my mouth says yes.
 Going back to see depeche mode so I may try more vegetarian options.
