Mine wasn't a cheap hotel either.

Apparently, some nicer hotels like to ensure their surroundings are safe and clean for their safe and clean guests. Who would have thought? LOL.

I have a question for the moderator: I scheduled an appointment with a provider this afternoon.  Got to the incall location, saw a squad car sitting right at the front door.  I took off, naturally.

What information about this encounter is it ok to share here?  The name and/or general location of the hotel?  The provider's name or link to her Backpage ad (yeah, I know, maybe that should've been a red flag)?

I'm mindful of the possibility that the provider in question is not herself working with LE, but that the hotel could be on LE's radar, so I can see why it might not be ok to share her identity.

What makes you think a cop car right at the front door is a sting? Just how stupid are the local cops anyway?

What you likely saw was a coincidence - and while I wouldn't walk past a police car to go go an appointment, I certainly wouldn't want to see you tarring the provider's reputation with the word 'sting' when there isn't one.

A sting is usually several cops in the next room - and they kinda hide their cars and stuff, ya know?

Thanks for the quick reply.  I figured it might not be a sting, hence the hesitation.  You're right, probably just a coincidence.

Just my two cents.....I don't believe in coincidences.

Your 'gut' is usually correct.

...he had the appointment immediately preceding yours. He just hadn't left yet. Cops need lovin', too!  ;)

'Relax, it's just sex!'

A squad car does show up once the arrest is made though.

...I checked into my hotel and was given the key to a room on the first floor. When I got to my room, I took a look around and since I prefer knowing every detail of my surroundings, I looked outside my first floor window and to my surprise…parked right smack outside my window was a police car with an officer sitting inside. He wasn’t parked anywhere near my neighbor’s windows, just mine. I panicked for the 15 minutes he was parked there and for 15 minutes after he left. Then I reassured myself that he was not there for me (I just checked in and hadn't caused any suspicion) and that most likely he was there just to make sure things looked safe (i.e., no one smoking crack in the parking lot or “suspicious” behavior, etc). When he was satisfied there wasn’t any danger lurking, he moved on to more pertinent matters, I’m sure. Of course I still went through with my incall session because it was a four hour engagement. However, if I were hosting several hourly incalls that day, I may have reconsidered going through with the sessions. IDK. Anyway, coincidences do occur and police cars are everywhere.

It happens all the time, guys.  I've been witness to it myself.  The first time it happened it kinda' freaked me out too and I thought for sure they were after me!  But, like Giamarie, I had just checked into the hotel and certainly did nothing to draw attention to myself. A few minutes later, the squad car drove off and I stayed and did my thing.  I kept a low profile, kept it low volume during my stay and had absolutely no problems.  COINCIDENCE. That is all it was.

The most important thing to remember is not to panic, act like you belong there,  don't draw undo attention to yourself and if you ever do get caught up in a sting....do not talk without your attorney present.

Yup.  They cruize the parking lots of the cheaper hotels in Bloomington, BP, BC, etc.  My last (I mean the last ever) visit to an unknown provider in Bloomington was aborted when I noticed a squad car parked right at the side entrance of the hotel (and also the entrance that lady wanted to come down and meet me at).  Obviously there as a deterrant.  They had probably already observed the pattern and decided to simply scare her clients away.  It worked.

I only stay at 3 1/2 - 4 star hotels. (3 star if that is all that is available).

The main point I was trying to make is that it happens. SO, remember: do not panic and, if caught in a sting, do not talk without your attorney present and you should fair quite well!!!

Once upon a time, I had an incall location that seemed to have more than its fair share of police hanging around the neighborhood.  Turns out my corner was a convienent place for the police to stop and write up their notes before the end of their shift.
