So talked with her (M.I.A.) about 7.
She texted me pics of her at 7:06, and wanted to know if we're getting together.
Talked with her again to make sure we were on the same page and that it was easy for her to get to me.
Then, finally, we agreed at 8pm and she said she was on the way and it would just be a few minutes.
Received a call at 8:20 asking if I was sure I'd be home.  And that she was on the way but wanted to make sure I would be home.  She was just 10 minutes away.
Now it's 8:43 and she calls to say it will be about 20 more minutes.
So, I told her I would cancel.

She had nice pics but these bp girls just cannot tell time.

Too impatient on my part, or good move we all should use to get these people to be on time or at least within a reasonable time of setting their appointments?

She must be living up to her name, "Missing in Action".

No, you were not too impatient.  One call from the provider to indicate a delay is okay, but multiple calls means there is a problem of some sort.  I'd be more forgiving if I've seen the provider previously, but in this case the provider is making a first impression and it's not a good one.  It seems obvious that she was just stringing you along, hoping to keep you in her back pocket while attending to something or someone else.

With a new provider I view 1 "I'm running late" message as acceptable.  If it was an old friend there would be more leniency.
