Make no mistake I do GET IT .....

Ok, so I see a massage provider for a real nice body to body session with some DFK.  Sweet afternoon delight.  Review coming.

I always leave the ring in the car.  Back to the car, driving back to the office I'm slipping the ring back on and it drops between the seats.  I pull over to look for it but not exactly comfortable with the area I'm stopped in.  Move on to a more discrete place, and I can't find the ring.  Finally after what was probably less than 5 minutes but seemed much longer, there it was, stuck on a track-a-ma-chiggy.  Whew.

Next day, trying to start my car the battery is dead.  Had to be towed.
Could have happened in front of a massage studio.  Whew.

Be safe out there.

One got a parking ticket which can sometimes never be caught but something ALWAYS gets sent to your house with the address and the "what the hell were you doing Downtown" face from the SO could easily follow.

The other guy locked his keys in his work truck and had to call LE for help.

Oh the situations we can get ourselves in, eh?  Yikes!

I'd have a terribly hard time explaining what I was doing in such-and-such a part of town, where I never otherwise go.

As for the ring, I always put it on my car keys ring and take it with me.  Not that I'm trying to fool any provider, but it just feels more natural not to have it on when with the provider.

My advice? Just keep the ring on. I did. Providers aren't going to turn you away for being married and whatever judgment they come to about you, they'll keep to themselves. Meanwhile, you have one less thing to worry about.

Why do you leave your ring in the car?

....yeah you're lucky about the car situation but seriously just leave your ring on unless you're worried about her oils or something. I doubt she'll be slipping it off of you.

Halle Moore shows a ring removal method in a video. Here's a teaser clip. The entire video is on her web site.

parked outside a provider's place.  I had to be precisely vague in a specifically obtuse way in describing where my car was and why I was there to the wife.

I used to remove the ring and put it on my  key ring.  Then a few times I got back to the office and noticed it not on there.  After thinking about it, I realized there was no point in keeping it off.  Much safer to wear it, and -- sheesh -- you think providers care if you're married?

Agreed Pollen.  You're just tempting fate or asking for trouble when you start playing
games with your wedding ring.  I can't imagine it makes a difference to the provider
if you leave it on your finger.  I don't think they're looking for boyfriends from
their hobbyist pool.

...has more to do with not disrespecting their marriage and lessening the guilt they might feel, odd as that might sound. I'm sure that providers don't care whether a guy is married; that's probably the majority of their clients but, I suspect many providers get a little turned on knowing that they're the 'other woman'. Halle's video is seductively not subtle when she removes her partner's wedding ring; it says, 'you're with me now, not her'.
And, also, like hardhankk already mentioned, so it doesn't get stuck in the muffin. That'd be a tad bit harder to explain than why your car broke down in a strange part of town.

Yup, I would expect that's exactly why they do it.  Just seems like an equally
lame reason.  Although if Halle ever wanted me to remove mine I suppose
I'd have to go along with it....or anything else she wanted to do for that matter...:)

I'm with you on that one, and they key ring idea is fantastic, too.  I'd say a good 80-90% of my clients are HAPPILY married!  We know you're married.  Don't WORRY about the ring! Lol...

I think the point here is more about the ring as a symbol.  Of course I am an "old guy" and truth be told am no longer married (tried it 2x), but for all the years men have seeing other women whether it be providers, mistresses or one night flings, rings have been removed and the primary reason is that the ring does symbolize the marriage.  I don't think it is delusional to remove it before having sex with someone who is not the spouse.  I agree with you that most providers don't care whether the ring is on or off, but don't forget that many of us were raised under a moral code that was far more strict than it is today and some men (and women) still react to that conditioning.  It is hard to shake off, although many in the hobby both men and women are able to do it.  Some (not me) would say that an older man like me thinking about being with a hot young woman is delusional (I know that is what my ex says....lol),  yet this fantasy is atainable here.  I don't judge what others may think about the ring and frankly some may not even know why they take it off, but Drumsticks and Wingman were on to something when they wrote about the reasoning.  IMHO.

.... I just don't get it maybe because it doesn't really change what you're already doing. BUT if it makes a guy feel better by not wearing it then good for him (not being sarcastic I swear lol). I'm just saying.    Again I get it I do though that it makes easier for some to follow-thru on an date if he doesn't have it on.

And I'm one that doesn't care whether it's worn or not. I'll just try not to stare at the ring tan line lol.
