I am not saying that it is a scam but they typical way this happens is at some point you give them the verification number over the phone and you never see them. Might want to post a link to their back page ad so some of the internet gurus here can see if they have scammed people under a different alias. Stay safe!

When I called her back to tell her I had arrived at Walmart and to ask her the amount, she hung up. Whatever.

I'm going to tell you that it's a SCAM, stay away. A fool and his/her $$ will soon depart.

Other than avoiding carrying around large amounts of cash, I don't see the advantage of it and as has been pointed out if she gets the PIN ahead of time then she can easily skip out without actually meeting you.
