I have  not posted  for a long time. The board has been too nasty  for  my tastes.  On the  positive side,  I just heard  an old song  that some of you might remember. Surfing Bird  by the  Trashmen, a Twin Cities  band from the 60's I think. Memories are a great thing.

the group performed at " back to the fifties" car show a year or two ago. the original drummer has passed, but his son is the fill-in. a true surviving, local, surfer group from the 60's. the gray hairs and gear heads loved it.

I was a huge fan of Minnesota's 'The Litter' and 'Jokers Wild' from which Lon Knight emerged. And, I loved seeing Chameleon (featuring Yanni) with the drummer who had his set on a hydraulic platform that would rotate so he would play upside down. Tommy Lee later would replicate this feat in his Motley Crue concerts.

Also, there was Mark Naftalin who played with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band.
