Personally I loves the taste of a woman much more than the taste of latex or plastic. Risks are there but pretty low. You are more likely to encounter LE than an STD in my humble opinion regarding DATY.

Theoretically, it is possible to transmit any STD via DATY. In practice, though, the only STDs that are transmitted thru DATY are Hepatitis B and Herpes and warts (although warts are not technically an STD; all warts, no matter where they are on your body, are caused by the human papilloma virus, although there are different varieties); and even those are rare. STDs are almost unknown in the lesbian community for this reason. The transmissions we do know of involve drinking menstrual blood. If you don't do this, your chances of contracting an STD thru performing DATY are very low.
