I think now I have most of the abbreviations for terms down but,  will some one please tell me what EOM stand for?

end of message.......eom

EOM or end of message is added to the subject line as a courtesy to those who are using low bandwidth or dialup connections. This way you can see that there is no text in the message and save yourself the time of opening it. It's a nice thing to do, although most boards automatically insert (no text) in the subject line of empty messages.
