The things we LOVE and HATE about massage

Hey all, since my last few experiences with some of the local FBSM massage gals, I've decided not to complain, but to put together a little list of things we guys love and hate about our experiences with them.  I'm going to assume that our thoughts are probably similar, but let's all join in!

Perhaps this will help the providers out there tweak there service just a bit for everyone's benefit!

LOVES:

-Quality oil:  Doesn't have to be something particularly fancy, but a nice unscented oil is great in my opinion.  I've had everything from the cheapest baby oil to the CVS brand lotion slathered all over me.  I can't wait to get home to shower after that!

-Warm room:  Remember, we ARE totally naked laying on that table, I've had bad experiences where there's been a big fan blowing RIGHT on me during the massage!  Goosebumps while getting a relaxing massage?  no thanks!

-Warm table:  a nice addition to the item above!  I think there are heating pads if you dont have one of the fancy expensive heated tables

-Warm towels afterwards:  this is a really nice touch

HATES

-BABY WIPES:  OMG, who ever thought that wiping someone down with ice cold baby wipes was a good idea!  This is the WORST!! Especially on my most 'sensitive area'!

-Shorting of time:  That's just plain bogus.

-NO technique:  Obviously you all aren't going to be true CMT quality, but at least take the time to watch a few youtube videos on how to give a massage, it goes a long way.

Anyone else?

es:
1. A woman that lets me get a sniff of her most delicate areas.
2. A woman who's willing to engage in a little finger play with my yogurt offering.  Fingerpainting?  Yes, Please!
3. A woman who is on time.
4. Offer an upgrade to FS or BBBJTCIM.  Obviously, not expcted, but often appreciated.
5. Be willing to take same day appts. I tend to book when the sap is running high.
6. Dirty talk
7. Play around a little with my 'tate and taint.
8. Rare, but if I book an hour, I would like 2 pops.  The rarity of this is why I typically book 30 min sessions.
9. Warm, moist, scented towel, taken from a warmer in the massage room, for cleanup.
10. An offer of a bottle of water is always nice.

Dislikes:
1. Any ad or email that doesn't disclose if you are DIY.  DIY is fine for others, but not for me. Please disclose.
2. Please don't rub my bare meat on your flower.  It is an unnecessary STD risk.  Ditto oral.  Don't spit on my tool, and don't put it in your mouth unless you're willing to let me jizz there. Obviously, some will feel differently.  Maybe ask first.
3. Dim lighting.  I only see really hot massage girls, which means I want to see your face, tits, ass, etc.  Dim lighting makes this difficult.
4. Don't leave me alone in the room, naked, for more than a minute or two.
5. Don't rush the pop.  I'm there for the pop.  The rest, for me, is just buildup. Draw it out a little.

These are my opinions.  Great topic!

For many many years I try to do EVERYTHING you guys want but some fellas just aren't happy regardless of how many things I tweak in my offerings I've even spent $5,000 renovating another space I had for a brand new shower that NOT ONE PERSON USED,  Talk about a waste.
So, please let me do my job & quit micromanaging me. Thanks!  :)
Good post BTW.
I think this is more for newer gals though.
Oh and +1 on the baby oil, cheap lotion. Gaross!

Proper set up is very important to me.
Whether walk in or not clients need privacy I used to hate hate hate working at an amp
& all I'd hear was noise of girls or the doors slamming.
Not to mention hearing other appointments & the very cramped quarters.
I like to be able to move around my table so I can crawl all over you with my hands & body from all angles
Nothing sadder than watching my poor MT struggle to navigate through a teeny tiny space in order  to work on me.

Those that put a bed mattress on the floor in a basement. Eeww just eew.
I'm not talking about a futon that's on a platform,  I'm talking a straight up sleeping mattress with a crappy sheet on it.
That's just wrong IMO. idk why a person would stay there .
Same goes for rickety tables ( they shouldn't wobble or overly creak)
I take great care in making sure mine is in near perfect condition .
Let me tell you guys that even the legit spas I've gone to are equally as lacking.

Ivy spa club : shorted time by 20 mins & was expecting a 20% tip.
Envy : shorted time by 16 mins & did the up sell through the whole thing rickety table & freezing room.
In touch : used a rancid smelling oil and shorted time by 20 mins also tried to up sell me to death in a room that smelled like human excrement which I didn't notice until after the incense went out.
Sorry. Just adding. Xo

I don't get many sensual massages, and when I do, it is usually for some other related activity. I enjoy a massage that includes lots of prostate play, or a massage combined with a dance and strip tease.  I generally expect the woman to be nude or at least topless and allow me to touch. I appreciate some teasing, and of course, I want her to give me  nice HJ happy ending.  I prefer to have no oil, other than the oil used for the HE.  What I don't expect from a Massage woman is a BJ or FS, even as an upgrade. If I wanted that, I would go see an escort who includes those things as part of her basic service.

And, I definitely  agree with the baby wipes and bad oil comments.

Loves "Do you like this?" versus "What do you want me to do?"

I understand that you want to make me happy as part of the massage you're offering, which is cool. However, the reality is that, since I'm seeing you rather than a FS provider, I'm guessing you have more boundaries than I do, and I really don't want to start down a road where I'm asking you for things that you might not want to do, because that doesn't help the mood at all. Do things you're comfortable with, and I'll tell you if I do or don't like them.

Loves positive feedback, especially in the form of reciprocation.

Example: I'm a kisser -- I enjoy kissing stomachs, hands, arms, whatever is within reach. I realize that not every massage provider (and not even all FS providers) are into DFK and the like, but there are other ways to reciprocate kissing. One of the hottest massages I ever had involved, after I'd kissed the masseuse's hand, she taking my hand, kissing it, then slipping a finger into her mouth. Very hot. Even if you don't go that far, simply saying that you enjoy something or reciprocating in a small way gives the sense that we're 'on the same page', and that's a turn-on.

Loves helping you get undressed.

There's just something intimate about watching another person get undressed, and helping that person get undressed is even more of a turn-on, at least for me. I generally don't ask for this unless the situation comes up (i.e.: for some reason you've had to get dressed again to check on something outside of the room), so offering it up front is a big plus.

Hates hearing about the shitty clients you've had today.

I do like conversation, and I do like feeling as though you're enjoying the session as much as I am. But hearing about the crappy thing some other client pulled on you earlier that day is full of awkward: it makes me wonder if you think I'm going to try the same thing, it puts me on edge because you're usually irritated or upset when you're recalling the event, it just puts the mood all wrong. Please vent to your friends or co-workers; let our time be about us.

I like:
Good conversation
Willingness to do want I like. (why would I pay for anything less?)
Warm tables
Good attitude
Complete wipe down to remove the evidence.
Asian providers.
Quality massage
A mint at the end and water

Dislike:
GFE. I am not your boyfriend or lover, so let's not pretend.
Mechanical service
CBJ
FS
Oils that stay on my body after rubdown.
Freaky looking providers - piercings and tats.
Heavily Booked providers

Loves:

-quiet mood music with the right amount of conversation.
-Maintaining physical contact with the client throughout the session, as much as possible anyway.
-GOOD hygiene...because I ALWAYS shower right before arriving.
-The perfect combination of light touch and regular pressure.
-{personal preference} Kissing please!  Not all providers do this and I understand but since it's my dream post, the more the merrier...lol.
-Warm inviting, clean studio space.

Hates:

-Bad hygiene.
-Obviously fake verbal sounds...come on! I know it's make believe but let's keep it to a believeable level.
- Cutting the session short....grrrrr, no thanks!
-Making it feel like a routine, boring job for you...even though it MAY BE, we probably only do this on rare occasions so to US it's an expensive highlight to our week/month so if you're that bored and uninterested, maybe it's time to change professions...just sayin'...
-oil in my HAIR...nothing bugs me as much as that one...no need to put oil in my hair and if you'd like to run your fingers through my hair while kissing/blowing in my ear, have at it!! but please, not with oil added..

There were several things mentioned in the loves that I do lots of.  There were a few things in the hates that I have every intention of working on (top priority: updating my space better-I'm NOT a decorator, but I'm getting help).

I do have a question:  Several of you mentioned the wipes, but it was cold wipes.  You want warm towels.

... I use warm wipes...  Good/Bad?  Please, let me know if it is the wipes you hate or is it JUST the cold.

Thanks,

Prefer the warm wipes.   If they're cold as if they just came out of the fridge, then that would be an issue.   Keep in mind that things get very extra sensitive right before clean up time! But when the massage area is kept a little warmer then they are just fine.

Now I'm not a germaphobe, but with towels, I wonder just how clean they are.  :-(

T - I think you're the professer on how it should be done.   Elan makes an awesome Teacher's aid.   And of course I'll stick around for a little extra credit.

My primary issue with the wipes is the temperature.  If they are cold, OMG it just kills the 'cool down' process to the nth degree.  I've also experienced on one occasion the person used wipes with some kind of antibacterial antiseptic which left me feeling less than stellar after I urinated the next time.  I don't think they were made for 'that area'.

Regarding the space:  For me, personally, nothing fancy is required, just something warm, maybe a few candles, quiet, and someplace to put my stuff (preferably not on the floor) is all that I look for.

Thanks for caring enough to read these responses!

All helpful information but what about when the massage is done on an outcall basis? What are some likes/dislikes? Example: tables/beds, towels (wet and warm or just dry), etc

I only do outcall so I don't have much control over the environment yet I do bring candles, different oils and massage bars.

As for expectations... whether its a massage or escort, it seems that different people want/expect different things and some don't make a distinct difference between the two.  So I come in with a basic idea and go from there.

A bit new and still learning so the forum and the info is very much needed and utilized. Thanks!!

Don't think there will be anything new, but since customers like different things, votes may matter.

Likes.

Warm towels rock.
Conversation. Flirting, banter, good stories, all help with the experience.
Knowing the boundaries.
A sense that the provider is having fun and likes her work.
Unscented oil.
A growing sense of intimacy.
A big giant Flashdance bucket over the massage table.

Dislikes

Don't like being left alone in the room for more than a few seconds.
I don't like running into other clients. I might know them, resulting in awkward conversation ("So, Reverend, are you gonna address moral turpitude again on Sunday?")
I understand how schedules can slip, but rather than rushing, acknowledge the issue and find a way to make it right.
Distractions, such as outside noise, frisky pets, your father wondering at my intentions toward his daughter, boyfriends decked out as Guns and Ammo models, etc.

... and related to that, honesty, are much appreciated.  I know it can be difficult to achieve day after day in this business... but some providers it has been my privilege to meet are exceptional in this regard.  :-)

Related to honesty, is letting clients know where they stand.  e.g., responding to every request for an initial appointment, as promptly as possible... even if it's with a "no, thanks".  And if something comes up where you'll be late for an appointment or can't make it at all, let the client know as soon as possible.  (Of course, that goes for clients as well!)

The other thing I like, is the avoidance of the words "small" and "little" while I'm laying on my back.  :-D

Shorting time (however it's done) is just cheap and no one leaves without noticing. You have to be REALLY hot to get repeats if that's your game.

What's really rare, but not unheard of, is a session running over without regret. If I jump in my car 5-10 minutes late I know that gal is running behind for the next client (or she doesn't have the slot booked).

Likes
- Hand and arm massages - hands tend to get missed and I'm a huge sucker for having my arms rubbed
- Scalp massage - I'm bald and it feels nice, sue me
- Starting to play before I expect it - generally the first 15 minutes or so are pretty clinical no matter who you see, keeping me off balance by doing a little teasing here or there is a welcome bonus
- Improvising - Any time it is obvious that the provider is going off her standard script it is a huge turn-on and totally flattering. It takes trust to do that, and I'll work very hard never to lose your trust.
- Knowing the meaning of Bah Weep Granna Weep Ninnie Bong - I'm a nerd god dammit, I like nerdy things and relating to people in nerdy ways.
- A follow up email/text after the appointment  - It makes me smile.

Dislikes
- Your period - Now, I grew up with sisters so menstrual blood and tampons are hardly about to send me screaming, but when I sit up and your menstruation is covering me I'm not exactly going to be pleased. Now granted I don't own or operate a uterus, but I'm guessing dollars to donuts you at least have an idea when that shit is going to uncork. You know, a range of days when maybe you should just take some me time and hang out and enjoy yourself for a few days. Just a thought.

No seriously.

- Poor attempts at humor - "At least I'm not pregnant." isn't the best joke for times like that. Give me a day or two, I'll laugh then. Maybe

One of the best posts in a long time. Thanks for kicking this off tokenring2!

I think one of the reasons for all of the input is that TER doesn't ask for reviewers to provide feedback on the type of things that seem to matter in selecting a FBSM provider. The term is so wildly ambiguos that it allows for a a huge variance in experiences

Being pretty new to FBSM (been a FS guy for a while), I don't think I have expectations about tables, towels, oils, lighting, wipes, etc.. yet, but can see how it can really matter to the FBSM connoisseur.

I've been around long enough to know that TER isn't going to change the profile form for the FBSM Provider profile, but a couple of thoughts on how we in the community can help close the gap:

Providers: How about a picture of your "office" in your ad?  I bet a lot could be derived from that simple gesture.

Hobbyists: In your reviews, how about more details on:
Table
Lighting
Oils and lotions
Music
Temperature
Showers
Massage Techniqu

It is not surprise people don't like to be hurried out the door... but an extra 5 mins by the time you're back to the car... that's probably been everyone I've met besides the one mentioned above.

Well, let's see. There is the Fingernails of Aphrodite, where her nails gently trace every muscle.  And of course, the Hello Sailor is self-explanatory. Then there is the Indonesian Sponge Bath, a technique only spoken of in hushed whispers, which some hobbyists think may be a myth, like Bigfoot or St Paul nightclubs.

YES   YES   YES!!!!    Reviewers, I would love love love descriptions on massage techniques!   :)    I'm so bi-   I feel like I have to do the DIY and visit the women just so I can see what they're all really like because no one writes about it but it might be a bit awkward for me to show up because they might not like having a provider scope them out... though I would be going for my very own pleasure.

Not all wipes are made for babies, Trin. If they have bleach in them, please keep them away from my seed shooter.
