Hi, I'm just curious if there are any "preppers" on the board

As in, stockpiling resources such as food and water?
Survival skills you hone or maybe medical supplies you stock up on?
Or does anyone do anything like this with some stuff, but maybe not full out "survivalist mode."
I find survival skills very interesting.

Have a three year supply of food and lots of guns. Not sure I'm prepping for anything? But my house might be a good place to be if things get ugly?

I'm the same way . Not prepping but prepped .

I would advise you to not make Vi angry. She's a Ninja!

Don't get me started on the absurdities of gun control in this country lol it's not like I'm holding an air rifle at Walmart or walking around in Ferguson ...When you live in a rural area like I do if you don't have the following items such as a chainsaw, firearm(s), a truck with 4 wheel drive with plenty of food and fuel stored up in case you get snowed in with no power, you're pretty much screwed during wintertime.

you cant stop me

But I do love wild game/unprocessed meat so I've two big chest freezers full of venison, bear, turkey, fish, backyard veggies, etc...

I think she mentioned once a while ago that she was into all that stuff.
Plus, its always good to have things saved up or have a back up plan for when shit hits the fan..
Wouldnt you agree ?

Well I think anyone that thinks ahead like that is smart, I've never heard anything about Mindy being into it
But I know the Ms.TER girl by the name of Brooke (not in MN) had posted about it. So far a good convo people, pretty cool to have wild game & guns, you just never know.

Sometimes I think I would like to have an underground storm shelter installed. I have the space, but not the ca$h.

I sell a lot of guns at my job and there are a lot of people that are preppers or would you call them hoarders of guns? Eventually I will have my nice little armory set up from handguns, shotguns, rifles, and knives.  It's more being protected as long as the mind is sound. Guns don't kill people, it's the person connected to the finger on the trigger that does.

Also a collection of knives and guns, tons of survival gear, many propane tanks and a bunk as well.

Never know when something could happen .... Zombie apocalypse!!!

If it is the "attack" we all practiced for in the 50's and 60's, a lead lined shelter. If it is a pandemic, filtered air/ masks are needed, sealing your house as best you can is a good idea. 21-30 days of canned food and bottled fluids. Trust nothing frozen,as many viruses and bacterias will survive -35. Nothing survives boiling/baking,so boil or bake anything not canned(sealed). If it is looting, rioting, that sort of thing, the biggest guns and most ammo win. As far as Ebola, I dont know if even the CDC knows yet how to protect yourself. I learned in my EMS days that the official government stance was "YOYO".... You're on your own........
