Hi Everyone!

I noticed this site popping up on my web logs, so decided to check in.  I'm the webmaster for jakesmn.com.  (Nice work if you can get it!)

Jake's is going to re-open at 4pm on Friday, June 28.  Get in there and support your favorite girls.  Also, as a service to our customers, we posted dancer updates to let you know where all of the girls were working during our recent shutdown.

A tough week for the "adult industry."  I just heard on KARE 11 that Jake's received a court order to close its doors by 6 pm Friday.  It's been one of the best clubs in the Cities, in my opinion, and I'm sorry to see it go (if the order holds).  

I've been looking for the story on the web to provide a link, but haven't come up with anything.

I don't know if it's kosher to talk about clubs on this board (I'm a relative newbie), (and I don't mean to sound uncaring about Jake's!), but I'd appreciate any tips on others' favorites, especially if it compares to Jake's service.  

My condolances to anyone involved with Jake's.

I was going to go down there, mainly to see where Brandy and Veronica are going to end up.  (Link for Brandy below, yum!) I went to HS very near there and went there on my 18th and a few times after that.  I just went back for the first time in 3 years a few months ago, and have been enjoying it every month or two since, so it's a real bummer I won't be able to see Brandy until I find out where she's moving on to.  :(

(Or maybe I'll get really lucky and find out she's a provider...)  :)

I think there should be a court order on the zoning issue to shut down those homes that are too close to a nude bar and then the problem would be solved.  :)

The counties of this state have been f**king with stip clubs for as long as they have been around.  Jakes has been there a long time and isn't going to go away any time soon.  It's sister club in Cannon Falls goes through the same shit.  Most of these clubs (in MN)have some sort of legal proceedings going on almost every month, so it's nothing new to Rich or any other stip club owner.  I wouldn't worry about the girls either, he owns 3 other clubs that always needs dancers so I'd assume they would move on to one of those if he had to close permanently.

We all have the power to change this situation, as well as all of the recent LE situations.  It's just too bad that most of the patrons of the sexual industry are hiding under shells too scared to come out and tell our politicians what we really want.  It can be done though (nothing comes easy) and those too afraid to stick up for the industry publicly can always show their support by voting.

The points you make are so true!!!! I have really wanted to echo those same sentiments ever since the whole TBD thing. It is really difficult for ladies who are concerned about their "other" life to work in the adult buisness. Also due to the undercover nature of the biz, most escorts, dancers have to deal with daily paranoia, danger, and secretiveness that can be very detrimental to one's life. I have found it to difficult to balance both worlds. It is really a shame that something so basic, natural, and pleasurable is made into a criminal and shameful act!!! This buisness will never realize it's true potential until "the right" (powerful) people speak their minds and vote. Until this happens, the adult biz will continue to be dangerous, inconsistant, and unpredictable for all people involved.
