But I have recieved many unsolicited phone calls and text messages by providers lately. It's not a real problem for me personally,as I am single and my phone is safe, but one has to wonder about the alledged discreteness of providers who keep Phone numbers.I just got a text tonight by a lady whom I only saw once, and that was over a year ago.Anyone else having this happen to them?

but I don't see it as a problem. I too am single and if it's a gal who I enjoy I have no problem with them saving my phone number. They will save your first name and I think it's easier for them to remember who you are than to try to recognize a phone number. I enjoy being able to text a gal to set up an appointment, makes things easier for both I think.

Who knows could they be uncLE using a confiscated phone?  Probably not.. If it's a provider calling a year later?!? Not nice.

. . . experience about two years ago with the first provider I ever saw as a newbie.

I made the arrangements to see her using my cell phone.

Later, I gave that cell phone to one of my kids and got myself a new one.

Out of the blue she calls my old cell phone soliciting business. My kid says, "Uh, Dad, I think you got a voice mail. . . ."

They just show up on my doorstep. I had two of them pounding on my bedroom door for hours last night. I finally had to let them out.

One lady I'd seen sent my phone a text letting me know she was back in town.  My wife saw it.  It was bad news.

This is why you have a "hobby" phone. Target sells 'em.  They usually have one on sale in the sunday add.

...negotiate.

"I'm clean, well mannered and disease/drama/drug/LE free.  You called me and you are in obvious need of business; how about we come to an agreement on a price?"

That usually stops the calls real quick!

Doesn't really make sense though.  Why pass up a completly riskless opportunity to make some money?

I've had it happen twice since I started doing this but the last time was several years ago.

What works best for me, is that I will ask the gentleman if he would like to be on my list for in-call announcements via email, and then, and ONLY then will I let them know when I am available.  I would NEVER call without permission, and I would hope the gentleman would only call me with my permission, too. I delete my emails once or twice per week, and I keep a discrete (and short) list of emails in a private, very small notebook that is titled, "Match.com" lol.  AND I keep these emails WITH PERMISSION only.

It's not that difficult to ask for a gentleman's preference, then give him the chance to say,"yes, keep me posted," or "no, I prefer to contact you."

I received one text message and one TER pm within the past week from providers offering their services.  The pm was no problem, but I told the one who sent the text never to send me another one unless I initiated contact - I told her I value my privacy as much as I am sure that she values hers.

A massage provider that I never did end up seeing sent out a blanket email last summer.  And the to:  list was sent in the clear (not as a bcc:).  Needless to say, some on the list were up in arms.  More than one pointed out to the list as whole that they also never had seen her.

That is the downside to responding blink to massage ads on backpage or craigslist.

The provider was called egyptian s****i by the way.

I never answered and no voice mail was left. Very odd because I don't remember ever calling from my regular phone. Even more odd because she is active on this board and we have never met.

unless he specifically asks me to call. Never have, never will. I do not text unless I received one and was asked to return it.
I don't keep any info and the emails are all deleted. I don't keep your phone number anywhere-not handwritten or as part of any "list" on my computer.

Yes I have pm'ed here on TER as I consider that a private non-invasive contact. Sorry if that has offended anyone.

I have received mass emails from gentlemen with other ladies email addresses on it. Please don't do that.  I prefer not to be on that list.

Have a great weekend! Get Some!

I've often thought to myself that I wish one of the girls I've seen would txt, pm or email me and ask if I wanted to see them.  My phone/email are fairly safe since they are dedicated to the hobby but unfortunately, at least for the phone it's only on when it needs to be so they chances of a provider calling/texting when I have it on are slim, lol and I'd probably be on my way to see the competition.  ;-)

I honestly wouldn't mind though, especially if she offered an incentive like a sexy outfit or an extra cup.

I agree with tunes, being single myself and having a secure phone/e-mail, it is not a big deal for a provider to contact me.  However, you have to keep in mind that you are one of hundreds of potential or actual clients they deal with in a month, and with that many people, it's hard to keep everyone's preferences down pat.

I think it would be great if more providers would ask new clients at the end of a (good, obviously) session - "Is it OK to contact you if I am running a special or even having a slow night occasionally?"  If the client says no, then no.  If yes, then put me down for an email/text/whatever.
