talking to a girlfriend about an old Beggs Steam Train that was featured on the Antiques Roadshow---fyi...it is a toy train manufactured in Paterson, NJ around 1871 of which the two passenger cars are made of cardboard (or cardwood, specifically) and light tin tops, a coal car, an actual working steam engine, pre-numbered sections of a circle track, and a wooden crate. The cardwood material accounts for the low survival rate and the value at auction...$5-7K!!
