We know it should be polite, not be explicit, not talk about considerations, menu, etc

BUT, which of these is most likely to result in your response?
  Pointing to verification services, white lists etc
  Listing friends we both know.
  Physical description  (age, build, smoking, etc)
  Activity/mood description (hobbies, interests, etc)

Or, should it simply say "I will call you shortly" and leave off all details to set up a phone call.

Or, give only a ter handle and wait for a response before going further

But we are all so different. Typically ladies state preferred methods of contact on their websites and what basic essentials need to be in the initial contact.
 

I've always wondered if the first contact info had something to do with the response rate so while traveling out of state recently I conducted an experiment to try to satisfy my curiosity.  I had traveled to this area before and found the response rate was quite low so I figured I'd experiment outside my normal "polite and gentlemanly" type requests to see if it made any difference or if it was just me or the area.

I picked 4 ladies I'd like to see, intending to see all if they responded.  Sent a request from P411 (I have many ok's and extensive profile) then followed up with an email.  It was a nice, standard, forthcoming introduction asking for a date at a specific date and time (different for each) and asked them to let me know if it worked.  I received one response within an hour and date was set, received one other two days later and date/time would not work...never heard from the other two at all.  Result = 50%

So then I sent the following request by email (different account) to the remaining two that did not respond and two more on the "maybe" list.  

"Dear x, see your ad on x and think you are hot, want to get together for a jolly good time. 2hr, date, time, have refs and $, no BS know the drill.  Let me know if interest and any info needed.  thks x"  

I received 4 responses within 24 hours.  One of the original 4 replied "not interested". One of the "maybes" could not make the schedule work. I set a date with the other two, one after providing refs and one without which was the remaining lady of the original 4.  The one I provided ref info to canceled last minute and the other date was a gem and we have another date set on my next visit. Result=100% on response which I was happy with because I usually just want to know if I should move on as I do not practice double booking.

I really did not know what to make of it all but am going to try it again in the future.

I read, screen, and respond to ALL my own email, this can be very, very difficult  
As I even have friends who now text for appointment requests.... I simply CAN NOT always reply in a timely matter!!
       Also if ANY screening info. is lacking in any way I will be extra cautious as anyone (who's not a newbie) should understand the drill... I simply DO NOT feel guilty for being safe~  
            I take great pride in ALL my interactions with people~ but still life happens & I need the very direct basics to get the ball rolling quickly & efficiently.  
       
I'm perfectly ok with the idea that you can't please all of the people all of the time, so if email is not your thing or you don't like to deal with screening -I guess I'm not the gal for you.  

           I really appreciate someone who gives me clear times & days they have open right in the first communication.... That info. And references are by far the most important to me,  

banter & long introductions are simply not necessary....that kind of thing is better in person.

If you were actually nice in the email you'd probably be 4 for 4 for "interested" but being 1 for 4 for actual interest are not good odds.

...and I have nearly 100% positive response rate. I don't suggest ladies who she can contact for further referencing but I invite her to let me know if she would like any further info. I have quite a few P411 OKs and, from there, some ladies will just pick one or two ladies to contact for followup referencing.
