Trying to hide the hobby, you know? Any local ladies willing to trade? I can buy Visa or American Express gift cards that you can use just like a credit card...they have a number on the back you can call to verify funds....

but can't get cash? Seems odd to me. The problem with gift cards is this: the purchaser, with receipt, can report them stolen and get them voided. They are then useless to the lady who has received them.
Ouch. I can buy them at a Wal-mart or even specific stores if the lady wants that instead, much easier to explain to the wife (bought a new set of tools, clothes, etc....) I can give the girl receipts too so that she knows I am not going to cancel them. Hell, if she knows place close to our meet and greet, she can even come with to buy them. Not trying to be a prick here, just looking for a little action.

Your wife would not question you as to where your new clothes or tools or fishing eqpt were (or should I say, were not)? LOL. Probably some wives already know but choose to look the other way, huh?
I would say in the first scenario, if the lady knows you and has seen you before, she is more likely to go ahead and accept a visa gift card if you give her the receipt with it. However, a new lady, would be skeptical because even if you give her the receipt, you could still cancel the card. All you would need to do is right down the info from the receipt or photo copy it and call it in and report the card stolen. You'd still have all the receipt info to given the phone rep. The lady would not have time to go to the atm and get the cash when all you would need to do is call from your cell phone in the elevator of her incall. Not saying YOU would do that but some men are sneaky little weasels.
In the second scenario, where the lady is with you when you purchase it, well, there is simply no way for a guy to get that info. The clerk could hand both the card and the receipt to the lady and that would be that.

I could understand how it can be a real problem for those afluent enough to afford this hobby, but not having clean cut access to the cash. For example the guy might have his own business but his wife might be the book keeper! Perhaps it would be easier to have a few more misc. expences mixed in, a little extra money at the gas station, etc.
Of course Belinda has a valid point, but it ought to work between regulars with at least some level of trust between them.
Now if a few of the ladies would do some concrete contracting on the side or something similar, it could just be worked in on a bid! LOL
Over the years I have actually been offered floor tiling by two very different and popular reviewed ladies! Seriously. One was attempting to learn and the other actually had expieriance and tools for it.... I don't think either succeeded in that business...
to accept a visa gift card than if it is a lady who has NOT seen the guy before. I have different kinds of arrangements with a few of my regulars than I do with non-regulars and that IS because of the MUTUAL trust and respect that has developed over time. (ex. pay in advance to get an extra, albeit small, discount)
There are providers who will barter for goods and services and store gift cards too. If these ladies have a specific need and a gent comes along that has the means to provide her with those goods and services then both parties benefit, so, why not?
I guess the only point I was trying to make is that us ladies have to be cautious because there are guys who will try to manipulate us to their advantage when and where they can. That's all. Although the majority of you are stand-up guys, not all are!
Most employers allow you to Direct Deposit to multiple accounts. Open an account with a bank that offers paperless statements (i.e. Chase) and put a little away in your secret account.
The only way your wife will know is if she sees your pay-stub or finds the ATM card.
