Hey there. I apologize if this subject has already been discussed but I figured the more experience mongers can be advice.
Last year I emailed few providers from MN erotica and nothing not even a response. The one response I got only accepted references. I sent 4 different references for providers I've seen recently and they weren't good enough. First the MN erotica provider needed email addresses because phone numbers weren't accepted. I contacted my references got the email addresses sent that. Then the provider says that the references I sent are not from providers she knows and that my references aren't advertising on MN erotica. I’ve never had any luck setting up an appointment with any MNE email only providers. Occasionally, I’ll get an email back wanting references. Don’t hobby often enough to have any solid references. Have gotten to meet two with phone numbers on the ad. One was pretty good and the other was OK.
I’m an email only provider , but later on the date of I will need to contact someone via phone line but it’s just that one call. my emails are always answered within 3days if not same day - I check morning and night

I can agree that it's not what it used to be. As someone who has been in the hobby for over 20 years it's become more difficult for both client and provider. BP was fun and had it's place. Even good old CL had some hidden gems. Emails are time consuming and you never get replies. As far as references go I have plenty and will never disclose my personal information to gain a booking. My personal information is mine just like the provides keep it private as well. I'm lucky that I have a reliable person to see as often as I want but it's always fun trying something new to spice things up. I understand why providers.ask for more personal information these days but it's too risky having information out there. Nothing is deleted forever no matter what you think. There is always an electric paper trail to be found if someone knew what they were doing. I've given up using ME or Tryst and have a lot better experience and luck on Dating sites like SA and SB
I know it can be tough when it comes to providers who ONLY see johns via provider reference - which sometimes can screw them in the end of the provider reference isn’t someone who screens very well - because a few really really bad men had slipped through via this process .
But it is holiday and travel season so it’s possible they just aren’t working - try them again in two weeks
there are spotty providers (even I have one working with me and I only she her come in like once a month) and then there are devoted providers who take this job more seriously
You mentioned to see massage only folks , another provider will look into another provider and make sure she is someone who have enough and recent reviews as well,
and before seeing them just be up front as ask if they give out references but also be prepared to make an offer if u use them more than once
(I will not be one of them because it’s hard for me to give references when I remove all contact information the week of ) I also screen differently with out provider references sometimes and will only take references if a person is of retiring age of 65 or over
You can also read through reviews and see if you can catch any that mention other johns have gotten through with references , maybe pm another John and ask who you can see that will give you a reference
Honestly I’m curious to know who your references were that weren’t good enough - if u want to pm me who they are I can probably tell u why they maybe not have worked - but if these other references you have are well established and are still active , it could be something that might have gone wrong in your session (sometimes, unfortunately , there are some providers who don’t speak up about boundaries and don’t say anything when it’s too late, so always ask for consent to any action you make and area you touch)
or that the provider just doesn’t want to give you a referral just because? You can try talking with the previously seen provider also but be sure it’s someone within the short span of time (typically 6 months) most providers prefer recent
There’s also newby friendly providers , who will screen with your work information (again make sure she is well established with plenty and plenty of good reviews on what sort of person she is )
Consider building your p411 under a discreet hobby email you can hang on to ?
As for newer providers you are looking at with out reviews maybe you can ask them to have a provider reference who is very established (this is to open up your options)
You can also ask your previous provider for anyone else they might recommend ?
