Curious to see how many do and don't?

I don't care much for mani's, but I do love a good pedi. It feels wonderful to have my feet pampered...

I have taken the time to get Manicures and Pedicures since I was 18, and that is a very long time ago.  I get a mani about every two weeks, and get a pedi about once a month.  Since there is such a wide variety of service, I find a manicurist I like, and stick with them for some time (usually until they move on).  I carry my own base coat and top coat.  FYI I use Sticky and Shiney by Creative Nail Design.  For me it is just clean, but women can use it under and over what ever color they choose, and their Mani will last longer with fewer chips.

I do get a pedi every 3 or 4 weeks and a mani now and then depending on how beat up my fingers are.

... I make sure fingers and toes are well trimmed, including cuticle repair and an emory board to be positive there are no points or sharp edges. It's kind of a balance on the fingernails. I have no talent for massage but have found that many women enjoy a good backscratch, so try to leave them just long enough to gain purchase. Something that used to be just another grooming chore becomes quite pleasant when it is preparation for a session.

My motto has always been "Really clean hands can go most anywhere" but really, that should read "really clean and well manicured hands."

I've considered both a mani and a pedi but have never made the appointment.  A couple of my immediate family members schedule them regularly.  On the days that I plan on meeting a provider I trim my fingernails nice and short.

I do take care of that stuff myself.  Never had the inclination to go somewhere
and have it professionally done.
